Yep that's the idea. I would say I can defend myself at recapping games, but as a lot of you guys say, I'm more of a graphic guy.

Image 2011 OFF-SEASON UPDATE - ROOKIE SIGNING / FREE AGENCY PERIOD

ROOKIE SIGNING

The Minnesota Timberwolves announced it had signed all six draftees (Floyd Bradley, Johan Svensson, Marcel Moore, Benjamin Dragic, Marc Scott and Malcolm Hoffman) to contracts. Whilst Bradley and Svensson are expected to take prominent roles this season, the second round draftees have a tall task ahead of them even cracking the first twelve.

It is expected that two of the second round draftees will end up being assigned to the D-League, with Marc Scott appearing to be starting the season with the Timberwolves' affiliate.

FREE AGENCY PERIOD

The Minnesota Timberwolves number one priority this off-season was to re-sign restricted free agent swingman Corey Brewer. Brewer had some interest around the league, especially from the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors, who offered him a 4 year, $15 million and 4 year, $16 million deal respectively. The Cleveland Cavaliers were late to the party, but finally came on board by sweetening the deal for Brewer by adding a guaranteed fifth year, for a 5 year, $20 million deal, which Brewer ended up signing an offer sheet for.

As expected, the Timberwolves matched the Cavaliers offer sheet and locked up Corey Brewer for 5 years at about $4 million per season. With the departure of Wesley Johnson, Brewer has a chance to cement a spot in the starting lineup.

With not many quality free agent available this season, GM David Kahn looked to fill the void left by Darko Milicic. He found it in centre Joel Przybilla, a Minnesota native. After being traded to the Toronto Raptors with Patrick Mills in the Jose Calderon deal, Przy-bizz didn't seem to fit in with the Raptors' plans for the future. That worked out well for the Timberwolves, who coveted Przy-bizz's ability to protect the rim at the defensive end.

Joel Przybilla was signed to a 1 year deal at the veteran's minimum with a team option for a second year. It is not known whether Przy-bizz is being brought in to mentor younger players or to player meaningful minutes inside for the Timberwolves. Either way, he was a bargain.

Good signings in Brewer and Przydhsajdhjsadh. A complete roster view would be great, right now it seems like your pretty thin at that C spot.

I'll get up roster at end of off-season, but I think it looks a bit like this:

C- J.Przy-bizz/N.Pekovic
PF- K.Love/J.Svensson/J.Hill/Dragon
SF- M.Beasley/M.Webster
SG- C.Brewer/W.Ellington/M.Hoffman/M.Scott
PG- J.Flynn/R.Rubio/F.Bradley/Mark.

That is primary positions, although Jordan Hill & Johan Svensson will play time at centre too. My centre rotation is not really any weaker than it was last season and my power forward rotation is a lot stronger.

Compare last season, Darko/Peko ('10) vs Przy-bizz/Peko ('11) at C and Love/Hill/Tolliver ('10) vs Love/Svensson/Hill/Dragon ('11). Based on that, I would argue that I've now got more depth inside.

Brewer can play a little SF, Webster a little SG, Bradley a bit of SG. I like players that can play multiple positions.

Naturally I don't know who I will be starting at this stage. Love & Beasley are only guaranteed starters.

Either way, I know I need to deal one of my top 3 PG's :P

It came down to a point where 2011 available free agent were crap considering all the main guys re-signed. I'll save cash for next summer (Y)

Needless to say, that is not a playoff team. Glad to see you re-sign Brewer to a reasonable price though. He may suck in real life but he's done well for you here.

It's not a situation that can be turned around in one off-season. Hopefully after 2012 off-season I will have a playoff calibre team :P

Not in the West. Could be a 30-35 win team though.

It will be interesting to see wether or not Przybilla can help you containing some of the decent big men in the West like Gasol, Bynum, Aldridge and others. What I don't like that much is Beasley at the three. I don't think he's quick enough and find him better on PF. Your two best players are PFs though.

One question: If all big FAs hit the market in 2012, which one was your first choice? I think I'd go with Dwight, simply because I need a big man down-low.

Hard to project with Dwight. In my association, he's extremely loyal. He wouldn't even test free agency when Orlando was missing the playoffs. You might have different luck, but I wouldn't be waiting around for him.

Same here. In my (2K10) association he finished his career with the Magic. Even held the record for most games played when he retired. Even when the Magic was sucking he wasn't even a ring chaser like Joe Johnson, which I got.
Would even be harder in 2K11 with his player value. Only way you can get him is offering him the max and if Orlando had a losing season and your team has a winning one. Considering that you're the Wolves... :P

I doubt I'll ever get Dwight

Not a bad proposal Sit. However, in this multiverse I believe Oden is injury free (for now) and Blazers have locked him long term.

I'll post each team's starting line-up (plus 6th man) in next couple of days. Let me just say this, Atlanta Hawks, with addition of Buchanan, Kenyon Martin & Shane Battier, plus the re-signing of Horford are tough. They're my pick to win it all in next season or two :P
