GM KIDJUSTIN UNDOES NEIL OLSHEY'S OFFSEASON SIGNINGS
LA Clippers new GM KidJustin has announced the acquisition of Chase Budinger from the Houston Rockets and Anthony Morrow from the NJ Nets in two separate trades. With these two trades, GM KidJustin has undone former GM Neil Olshey's offseason signings of Randy Foye and Ryan Gomes.
Chase Budinger will immediately address the weakness at Small Forward as his three point shooting will help stretch the floor and allow more room for Chris Kaman and Blake Griffin operate in the middle. They hope to be able to keep Budinger's interest and re-sign him in the offseason as they hope for him and rookie Al-Farouq Aminu to be their Small Forwards of the future.
With Randy Foye now in Houston, GM KidJustin knew he had to find a replacement at backup Shooting Guard. With Chase Budinger now slated to be the starting Small Forward, Ryan Gomes has become expendable and was traded for streaky shooter/scorer Anthony Morrow and defensive ace Quentin Ross.
Anthony Morrow has been known as a Clipper Killer ever since he made his starting debut with the Golden State Warriors as an undrafted rookie scoring 37 points in a win over the LA Clippers. The Clippers hope that he can now focus his killings against other teams off their bench to give Eric Gordon a rest on offense. Quintin Ross, who started his career with the Clippers is back for another stint. His defense will prove to be key if the Clippers can keep their heads above water and squeak by into the Wild Wild Western Conference playoff picture.
The Clippers will most likely just allow Jared Jeffries to walk in the offseason, unless a buyout can be agreed on. They have also reportedly taken Rasual Butler off the market as they hope he fills in a veteran presence at both Shooting Guard and Small Forward positions, unless an undeniably strong offer is made.
KidJustin hopes to improve their position in the playoff picture, in which they are currently sitting in the 8th seed of the Western Conference."I am very proud of my team and feel that these moves will only allow them to play at an even higher level. I also envision this team to grow together and form a strong bond for years to come. Randy Foye was just not happy here as he thought he would be and we do not fault each other. I wish him the best in Houston. We have already spoke and we are on good terms with him as he is with the organization. Ryan Gomes on the other hand was playing great for us, but changes need to be made to address the bench scoring left by Randy.
I would also like to report that we have been keeping a close eye on DeAndre Jordan [currently assigned to the Bakersfield Jam] and hope to bring him back up soon. We just wanted to make sure he gets optimal time to develop his offensive game as Chris Kaman has shown to be continuing last season's All-Star performance with anther one, making it hard for Coach VDN to find time for both great talents." Said GM KidJustin"It feels great to be back where it all started. I know things have changed a lot since I was last here, but I hope I can be as helpful to this team making a playoff run as I was back in 2006." Said Quentin Ross

THE FACTS: Probably two of the best teams played against each-other on Saturday night. The Eastern Conference leaders Chicago Bulls, against East's Third Miami Heat clashed in a match full of thrill which was literally judged in the last possesion. For the winners,LeBron James had a dominant 34 point,6 rebound,6 assist game, leading the Heat offensively most of the game.Bosh had 14 points and 5 rebounds while Wade added 11 points with 9 assists, almost having a double-double.
On the other side,Luol Deng was simply outstanding. He scored 34 points and was the main force for the Bulls on the whole game.Derrick Rose added another MVP-ish performance. He had 18 points,10 assists and 3 steals, while Iverson had 13 points.
THE STAT:Bulls had 8/21 from the 3-point line, missing many crucial offences, while Heat were 6/8 from deep.
TURNING POINT:On the 1.32 mark,Derrick Rose intercepted the inbound from LeBron James with the score at 95-94.Rose went for the layup, but Chalmers stole the ball from him on his way to the rim,and rushed on the fastbreak for an easy lay-up,which made the score 97-94,which was the final score as well.Chalmers scored only 4 points, but his last two were the most crucial in the game.
HOT: Luol Deng and LeBron James were too hot too handle. The 7-year pro out of Duke and the 8-year pro out of St.Vincent-St.Mary Highschool had both 34 points ,with Deng having a red-hot 3rd quarter, scoring 16 of his 32,and James being perfect from the 3-point land.
NOT:Derrick Rose.Despite having another double-double,Rose was 0-5 from the 3 point area missing also two 3 pointers for the tie on the last seconds.
QUOTABLE:"We were just unlucky tonight. We had an excellent start, but on the end,we made several wrong choices and gave away the opportunity to win a great opponent. Our last minute game will be a point of conversation in the next few days"

THE FACTS: Derrick Rose led the Bulls with 25 points and had 12 assists,as Chicago hold the early lead in the 4th quarter to break the 2 game losing streak. Rose was accompanied by a sensational Carlos Boozer, who had 22 points ,6 assists and 4 blocks(3 blocks on Dirk Nowitzki) and Luol Deng, who with 16 points proved to be once again,a valuable piece on Bulls not only on offense, but on the defensive end as well, having 3 blocks as well, all in the final 3 minutes. For the losing side of Mavericks,Dirk Nowitzki was again the lone man, having 20 points and making many tough shots in order to keep Dallas close in the game.
QUOTABLE:"I don't know if we're lucky, but once again our shots were falling.Today though we were just making shots and not combining it with defensive concentration.Hopefully we are going to get our minds back on D."
--Tom Thibodeau
THE STAT:Well, the Bulls indeed made a lot of shots on this match. They finished the game with a 68% ,a great percentage, but the most notable stat was their 1st Quarter FG%,which was extraordinary. Chicago shot 15/16 from the field in the first quarter, only missing a shot at the end of the quarter by Watson, who tried to beat the Buzzer.
TURNING POINT:With Dallas making a 6-0 run in the 4th,cutting Bulls' lead down to 2.Bulls' missed the shot, but on the defensive end, they blocked the ball 4 consecutive times and then scored on the fastbreak! Boozer blocked a mid-range shot by Nowitzki, who got the ball again and shot another one but then it was Noah's turn to deflect the ball.Butler got the rock, and tried to lay the ball in,but then Deng blocked the ball, this time securing it and finding Rose who rushed on the transition and made the easy dunk. This was a huge momentum builder, and after that Chicago had 5-0 run to secure this game.
HOT:Carlos Boozer,who was 11-13 from the field,finishing with 22 points.
NOT:Jason Terry had only 8 points, with 3/7 FG.Rick Carlisle was sure waiting more from him,but Terry failed to deliver.
QUOTABLE II:"I'm feeling better and better. It's nice to see that I'm blending nicely into the squad and that all the concerns about me are in the past"

I'm pretty sure you mean Rick Carlisle.![]()
Nice way to get back on track.68% is such a FG%, especially from a team who doesn't shoot the ball that well irl, but I guess the Mavs just didn't play D.
