Why would Toronto want to make those deals? Marshall seems like a nice guy and he puts up good numbers. I think Seattle would do that as Jerome James is hated by everyone in his own locker room and Flip Murray plays no defense.
I think Denver would also do that deal but mainly because Marshall is worth a little more than Barry/White combined. (heh)

Agreed...trading Allan Houston is tough! Who might want him? Maybe a team who needs mild-mannered character players or a team with an equal-sized albatross on their neck.
So here are two that might maybe work.
New York trades: PG Moochie Norris (3.3 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 12.5 minutes)
SG Allan Houston (18.5 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.0 apg in 36.0 minutes)
New York receives: SG Ruben Patterson (7.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.9 apg in 22.7 minutes)
PG Damon Stoudamire (13.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 6.0 apg in 38.0 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -1.3 ppg, +3.9 rpg, and +4.1 apg.
Portland trades: SG Ruben Patterson (7.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.9 apg in 22.7 minutes)
PG Damon Stoudamire (13.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 6.0 apg in 38.0 minutes)
Portland receives: PG Moochie Norris (3.3 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 64 games)
SG Allan Houston (18.5 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.0 apg in 50 games)
Change in team outlook: +1.3 ppg, -3.9 rpg, and -4.1 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED

Houston and Moochie Norris for Ruben Patterson and Damon Stoudamire.
The Knicks are desperate to cut some salary from their team. The Blazers are desperate to cut some attitude.
With this deal, the Knicks get an expiring contract in return for Houston and a good defensive swingman who can fill the gap somewhat. And as Stoudamire himself has said...he'd live in someone's doghouse to get out of Portland so we might see him get motivated again. If he does, then the Knicks have a valuable sign and trade, especially because Stoudamire's next deal will be much more reasonable. Ruben Patterson will also benefit from a fresh start.
The Blazers have said that they want "character" players now, and this deal gives them that in spades. Portland gets to clear out their #1 and #2 problem children that are left on their roster...and in return they get a guy as wholesome as you could imagine in Allan Houston. He also won't mind giving up shots to blend in with Zach Randolph and Abdur-Rahim. Houston has the mind-set of a role player and he would fit naturally as an excellent second or third option on Portland.

Allan Houston and Dikembe Mutombo to Orlando for Grant Hill and Juwan Howard.
Houston's deal is wringing the Knicks necks and pissing off Knick fans. Grant Hill's deal is wringing the Magic's necks and pissing off Orlando fans. Maybe we can do one albatross for another?
The Knicks get to finally say goodbye to Allan Houston AND Mutombo's big fat deal. In return they get Grant Hill to play 30 games per season and wave from the sidelines and a very good post player in Juwan Howard, who can start at either forward position.
The Magic get to finally say goodbye to Grant Hill and their glut at Power Forward created by having both Howard and Gooden. They also finally get some size and rebounding in Mutombo. Houston will give them some actual contribution to their team for all that money, and his shooting should help the team fight the zones that destroyed their season.
Knicks
C Kurt Thomas
PF Juwan Howard
SF Tim Thomas
SG Penny Hardaway
PG Stephon Marbury
C Nazr Mohammed
PF Vin Baker
SF Grant Hill (for 1/3rd of the season)
SG Shandon Anderson
PG Moochie
etc
Orlando
C Mutombo
PF Gooden
SF McGrady
SG Houston
PG Tyronn Lue
C Declerq
SG Stevenson
PG Garrity
etc
That looks much better. So crazy it just might work.
