Brandon Jennings was upset about being snubbed in the All-Star game, losing his spot to Darren Collison, and led his side with 35 points, knocking down 5 three-pointers and taking the MVP honors.

"I think I should have made it. Darren didn't even bother to play tonight, when we play Indiana, I'll serve him right."

David Andersen added 18 points and 3 blocks. Alonzo Gee of the Cavaliers was all over the court with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 blocks and 3 steals, shooting 7-12. Serge Ibaka had 12 points and Omri Casspi had 10, including a big throwdown over Blake Griffin and DeMarcus Cousins.

Blake Griffin scored 36 points on 17-25 shooting, displaying his mid-range game, not his amazing leaping ability. He also had 8 rebounds, 6 blocks and 4 assists, but missed two tries to tie the game.

His teammate Eric Bledsoe had 15 points and 16 assists. Wesley Johnson had 14, Greg Monroe and DeMarcus Cousins also reached double-figures. Jeremy Lin had 9 points and 7 assists.

Jennings scored 28 in the second half, including a 19-point third quarter. He also scored the go-ahead bucket late in the game with 32 seconds to go.

Blake Griffin had an attempt to tie the game right after, but missed a shot hook-shot. Alonzo Gee dribbled out the clock and pulled up for a mid-range shot to ice the game, but missed.

The Rookies held the ball to have the final shot, Bledsoe passed it to Griffin, who was doubled. There was not much time left and he had to shoot a fadeaway jumper, but missed the shot.

Blake will show his leaping ability tomorrow, when he will challenge LeBron James, Chase Budinger and Rookie Challenge MVP Brandon Jennings in the Dunk contest.

Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kyle Korver and Danny Granger will take the floor in the 3PT-shootout.

Justine., yeah, I think it's good to speed it up.

Also, I noticed an error on the picture. Blake had 36, not 26. It's 36 in the recap, so that should cover it.

Smith is leading the Blue Devils in scoring with 21.7 per game

The HEAT are set to wind up with a late first round pick, most likely in the 25-30th range, and with that, they have limited options on Draft night. With many high draft prospects including Kyrie Irving, Perry Jones, Stephon Mayberry and Harrison Barnes, the HEAT have to look elsewhere for other options.

Jimmer Fredette has recently popped on the stage, originally projected to go early in the 2nd round, but with his recent scoring outbursts, his draft stock has drastically improved. The HEAT's first option now is Nolan Smith, the senior guard from Duke.

He is leading them in scoring and assists. He gets overshadowed by teammates Irving and Kyle Singler but has made headlines recently as Kyrie Irving has missed many games with a toe injury, having appeared in just 8 games for the 25-2 Blue Devils.

Smith is averaging 24.6 points since Irving's injury. He has scored in double-figures in each game, with the exception of the 83-48 win over Bradley, where he shot 0-8 from the field, but did have 10 assists.

He is currently ranked #2 among Shooting Guards by Rivals.com, and with the spotlight now on him, his draft stock has rocketed also.

Right now, it's not up the HEAT. With Smith's current emergence, he could be long gone once the HEAT get to make their pick.

Vote :

a) Sim Playoffs, recap them, and get to the off-season. (NLSC rookies etc)
b) play the Playoffs.

2K11's trade deadline is off and I was on the All-Star Saturday day, but couldn't do the deals with Melo, Deron etc, because the deadline had passed.

Blake Griffin takes Dunk Crown

Image

Blake Griffin jumped over a car in the Final round and beat LeBron James in the Final round via fan vote to become the 2011 Sprite Slam Dunk Champion.

Griffin scored 99 points in the first round, as did LeBron James to advance. Brandon Jennings was third with 97, after getting 50 for his second dunk. Some say Jennings was robbed a spot in the Final.

Chase Budinger got all 9s for both dunks to finish fourth with 90.

Griffin received 61% of the fans votes to become the Dunk Champion.

Danny Granger shows hot hand, brings home 3PT crown

Image

Danny Granger, who leads the NBA in made threes with 161, took home the 3PT crown as he scored 21 in the Final Round against Kyle Korver, who had 18.

Defending champion Paul Pierce scored 15 in the first round and All-Time 3PT leader Ray Allen had 17. Korver and Granger advanced, both scored 19 points.

Sorry for the crappy update.
