THE FACTS: Derrick Rose was really close on writing history on the game against the Knicks in the Madison Square Garden. He scored a career-high 60 points and added 6 assists and 6 steals as well,in a dominant performance. Allen Iverson had 12 points and Tracy McGrady added 11 from the bench on a supportive role.
From the Knicks' side, Amar'e Stoudemire had 20 points and 9 rebounds and Wilson Chandler had 16 points and 4 assists.
THE STAT:Bulls scored 53% behind the 3PT line, and 59% FG. They were on a really hot day and that's a reason they dominated.
TURNING POINT:Bulls got a 14-2 run on the end of the 1st quarter ,and never looked back. They had a 20 point lead all the way till the end of the 4th,when Knicks reduced the deficit to 13,before Bulls formed the final score with a 5-0 run.
HOT:Derrick Rose, period. He was on an astonishing day today, was 25-44 from the field today. He had another game over 50% shooting.
NOT:Nash might had 15 points and 9 assists,a better performance than his first game as a Knick two days ago,but he turned the ball over 10 times,a really bad perfomance on handling the ball.
NOTABLE:Derrick Rose scored a career high 60 points today. This was 1 point shy of Kobe's 61,the most points scored by a player in the Madison Square Garden and tying Bernard King on the second place with 60 points. Rose is now placed second on the list with most points scored by a Bulls' player as well, with the one and only Michael Jordan leading with 69 points.
QUOTABLE:"That was just amazing.I have watched Kobe scoring 61,LeBron scoring 52 with almost a triple double, but that was just amazing.Watching that kind of performance from a player that young was just astonishing.I want this guy on the Knicks!"
--Spike Lee on Derrick Rose
QUOTABLE II:"Well,i wasn't really trying for it ,but it came out of me.I was on a really hot day,so I could get a few more shots. They kept going in,so I tried a little more.I kept on scoring and on the end I just couldn't believe it!"
--Derrick Rose

THE FACTS: After his career high 60 points in the game against the Knicks in MSG,it was time for Detroit's fans to admire another show by Derrick Rose. Rose played the best all around game of his career, scoring 39 points and having 10 assists,9 steals and 4 blocks,1 steal shy of a triple double, which would have been the first in his career. Carlos Boozer with 17 points ,5 rebounds and 6 assists, and Luol Deng with 14 points and some crucial shots on the 4th proved to be great help to the Bulls' team.
On the other hand for Detroit,Ben Gordon had a huge 38 points and was constantly on fire. Will Bynum had a great double double game, with 17 points, 19 assists but 15 turnovers, making an all time record in the NBA for most turnovers in a single match!!!
THE STAT: Will Bynum had 15 turnovers,as the whole Chicago Bulls' squad had in the game!
THE STAT II:Detroit Pistons is the only team in this season who had better FG and 3PT % from the Bulls but didn't win the game.
TURNING POINT: With the game on overtime,Derrick Rose got the ball in his hands. He scored 14 points,7 from the free throw line,to keep the Bulls in a safe distance and give them the win.
HOT: Derrick Rose and Ben Gordon. The two former teammates were lights out from the field.Rose had 39 points with 16-27 shooting, while Gordon had 38 points with 14/22 shooting including 6/7 behind the 3-point line!
NOT: Will Bynum. He had a great game sharing the ball, but his ball handling was just terrible.15 turnovers,3 in the OT to give Bulls the chance to seal the deal.
QUOTABLE: "I couldn't imagine he would have such a great game after that one in New York. It's not only the 38 points, but the huge job he done on defense with those steals and blocks. That's what I want from him and he shows everybody that he is becoming a great defender as well."
--Bulls' coach Tom Thibodeau
QUOTABLE II:"It reminded me of the scrimmage games we had back in 2009 in Chicago, only now D-Rose shoots way better.I was really motivated to play that great against my former team, but D-Rose was just killing it. All of our efforts seemed useless in front of his performance."
--Ben Gordon
