In the last Game of the 1992 Final Series the Houston Rockets defeated the New Jersey Nets with 107 - 92. The Rockets were unstopable in the post season, despite they had to play without Olajuwon for a long time.

Congrats for the Rockets. It would have been better if Hakeem won the Finals MVP kinda like Reed back in the day.

Shaquille O'Neal, 1992 1st overall Pick by the Dallas Mavericks

The Chicago Bulls decided to draft Jon Barry as 29th overall and Tim Allen as 58th overall.

Jon Barry will emphasize the Bulls on their Point Guard Position. BJ Armstrong did a good job last year as he entered the starting five after the loss of John Paxson due to the expansion Draft as Paxson was sent so the Bobcats.

Jon Barry:

There are also some rumors that the Bulls are interested in No 14 Pick Robert Horry. A trade between the Clippers and Chicago seems likely, names like Cartwright and Scott Williams are under discussion to leave the Bulls.

Hey, can I submit Lebron James as my player? I thought, "What if Lebron entered the NBA 10 years before he was intended to be?"

I am not sure about that, LeBron should be a high rating player when he enters as a rookie. For this draft the high rated players are assigned.

The idea itself sounds interesting to me, i have to think about it and prepare for it. Maybe this will be an option for the 1993 Draft, but still not sure

All NLSCler 's will start with the same overall and potential rating. I am going to copy the idea of points for contests like many others already did in their Dynasties.

For that i am going to organize a new section below the topical post. There you will find your season stats, career stats, maybe awards  and of course your earned points.

There will be 5 or 8 contests every season, they decide if your player increases his deeds or if he stagnates at his Rookie level.

Every season will include some new NLSCler's , so if someone misses this year or just stumble in later to this Dynasty it doesnt matter.

This is the link to the new Draft Section:
NLSC Draft Section

I will add Photos and some stats to the players later.

1992 Offseason Transactions

With the start of the 1992 Offseason many teams try to improve their lineups by making some huge and minor trades. I am going to list up the most interesting and important Trades for the 1992 Offseason.

Releases and new contracts:
> Chicago releases Bill Cartwright in an agreement on both sides
> Chicago signs Brian Williams for a 3 year contract

> Seattle signs Bill Cartwright for a 1 year contract

> Houston signs Free Agent Cedric Ceballos

Major Trades:

Image

Barkley wants to play for the Championship:
As the new season kicks off this is the first big transaction for this year. Charles Barkley who played several years for the 76ers doesnt see any opportunities to play seriously for the title with Philly.
Even the 76ers had a good hand engaging Glen Rice in the last season they didnt made the Playoffs and went down with turrible performances.

The Phoenix Suns, No 1 team in the last regular season, recognized the potential they may have with Barkley and sealed a 3 Team Deal between the 76ers and the Timberwolves.
This may also be a risk for the successful Suns team, in exchange for Barkley they had to give away Forward Tom Chambers and Center Andrew Lang.

The 3 Team Deal:

Luc Longley MIN > PHO
Charles Barkley PHI > PHO

Charles Shackleford PHI > MIN

Andrew Lang PHO > PHI
Tom Chambers PHO > PHI

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finals MVP leaves the NBA Champion:

Image<>Image

This is the next huge deal in the 1992 Offseason. The 1992 Finals MVP Otis Thorpe leaves the Houston Rockets. Thorpe who had a big amount for winning the first title for the Houston Rockets during the absence of the injured Olajuwon will leave in exchange for Clyde Drexler.

Its a little surprising the Rockets changed their winning team , but maybe they think they have to be prepared for the next season and the new challenges which are waiting for them.

Otis Thorpe HOU > POR
Buck Johnson HOU > POR

Clyde Drexler POR > HOU

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bulls receive Robert Horry

The Chicago Bulls decided to send Scott Williams to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for No 14 overall Pick Robert Horry. Phil Jackson expects much of Horry and he registered him as a young promisong talent which can give the Bulls play much more varieties.

Image

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other mentionable Trades:

Cliff Robinson POR > MIA
Hersey Hawkins MIA > POR
Kenneth Cowell SF (R) MIA > POR

John Battle CLE > MIL
Walt Williams MIL > CLE

Reggie Williams DEN > NY
Anthony Mason NY > DEN

Rick Fox BOS > DAL
Donald Hodge DAL > BOS

Benoit Benjamin SEA > MIN
Tyrone Campbell MIN > SEA

Eric Floyd HOU > VAN
Ronaldo Blackman VAN > HOU
