Realistic Sound Effects 2004

Here is another quick file swap mod, this time replacing the arcade-like sound effects in NBA Live 2004 with the more realistic sound effects found in NBA Live 2005. It also contains the necessary files to restore NBA Live 2004's original sound effects if desired.

It's certainly handy that they're interchangeable. I'm going to use 2004's sound effects in the Live Jam mod, the only sounds that don't work properly are the putback effects; there's a swish before the crashing effect on the rim/backboard.

Would this work for Live 2003? Kind of sick of the crazy noises the rim makes, etc.

It doesn't. I was originally planning on using NBA Live 2003's sounds for Live Jam but they crashed NBA Live 2004-08 and likewise, the sound effects files from NBA Live 2004-08 crashed NBA Live 2003.

doesnt 2004 and 2003 share the same sounds though?

Many are similar, same crashing effects on the rim. 2003's got the booming sound effect on blocks which would've been nice for Live Jam but seems it's a no go.

So how would you do change the sound on Live 2003?

if we cant replace the files then we cant

you could try opening them with these tools but I dont think they will work

The Beijing 08 mod for Live 2003 changed the opening music for each game, so it's probably possible to change. I'd like to know who actually did it though...
