Hey,
Found this at the Sun Times website, but it was also posted on NBA.com few days earlier. Hopefully Pippen might still have something left, but it doesn't look to hopeful. Check it out...

The most dominant player on the Bulls' practice court Thursday was the one who is on the verge of retirement and is unlikely to play in another game.

Scottie Pippen, 38, wanted to see if his surgically repaired knees could stand up to an intense practice.

The fact he was able to walk off the court afterward did not fool him into thinking he was ready to be activated.

In fact, while Pippen isn't ready to officially announce his retirement, he said privately he wouldn't play again this season. He's on record saying next season is out of the question, although he likes to tease the media by saying the door still is open. He already has discussed ways to handle next season's contract with operations chief John Paxson.

''I still have the same problems,'' Pippen said. ''I would take a wrong turn at times, and it would get really irritated.''

Nobody on the Bulls is anticipating a comeback. Pippen's last game action was eight minutes on Feb. 2.

''He played very well,'' said coach Scott Skiles, who doesn't think Pippen will play again this season.

''You forget how good he is. He pretty much dominated the whole practice, and for a guy who hasn't played as long as he's played, it's very impressive. But he may not be able to walk [today]. I was pretty impressive in a practice, too [this season], but it doesn't mean I could have played in another one.''

Pippen has said he would not be interested in an assistant coaching job next year.

Tell me what you guys think

As much as I like Pippen, I don't think he will return next year.

But again he's known to change his mind, so everything & anything is possible.

Yeah that's true, but Pippen is pretty focused and determined when it comes to these things, he's not goning to make a decision over night, look how long it took MJ to finally make up his mind. This would be a final decision for Pippen.

I predict Pippen will retire and become an assistant coach with the Bulls and help them win!

Yeah, that would be cool, add to the coaching staff. And to think, Skiles really does need some help. But the team is so mixed up that he and just about every other coach who's coached the Bulls after Phil was there, has pretty much failed, hence been sacked or resigning due to embarrasment! (not sure on spelling) If Pippen were ass. coach, he would pretty much be doing what he is now that he's injured, sitting on the sideline, talking to Skiles and teaching the young blokes.

At the end of last season, when Pip missed part of the playoffs because of his knee surgery, I knew that he wasn't going to be back to his old dominating self for a while and with that in mind, he should probably get a good rest and see how he feels at the end of the season, before he makes his decison. Again that's my 2 cents!!

If he's up to it, I'd love to see Pippen back next year for a farewell tour. But if he truly doesn't think he can play on, it's probably best that he calls it quits at the end of the year. If he isn't in any condition to contribute, there's no reason to push back his eligibility for election to the Hall.
