adrian dantley was close in 81. he led the league in scoring, on the 4th worse team in the league, the utah jazz... im not sure if anyone else has. couldnt be bothered looking up the rest of the seasons

The leading scorer has been on the worst team once before: Neil "Gabby" Johnston lead the league in scoring in 1952/53 while playing for the Philadelphia Warriors, who were the league's worst team.

Well...at least T-mac will be making history again this season...but not in a very fashionable form...being the scoring leader is an achievement- not sure bout bein on the worst team!
