Face palms, ideas for next association, shadowgrinch and Jackal... signs of this going to end soon. I hope I'm wrong.

4 of your last 6 posts in the whole forum were here in this thread man. I told you, I think it's funny and I laugh, but it's enough already. If you don't like the story, just don't post at all. :shake:

This isn't coming to an end unless Thierry pulls the plug for his own reason. Thierry brought it on himself with comments of another story so I'm not going to delete any comments. If they continue, I'll take care of them. Thierry would do himself a big favour to not even think about any other Association but this one. If he wants to do another one, he should do it offline or somewhere else.

Back on topic, Thierry, I'd love to see a bit of your soul enter this Association. All the fancy graphics & clinical recaps are great, I just want to see some you shine through. I know you've got something unique & interesting to offer & I hope as this Association continues that you will bring it out.

Otherwise, please continue.

You just should not talk about all the ideas and stuff, I mean you broke your own record, but honestly, 22 games into a season is still (despite the top notch presenting quality) nothing special.

If you plan to change teams or something like this, why not do it "in the story". 2k gives you the ability to give up your spot and go to a new team.

Calimbas, Hoyas survive rally by Martin, Buckeyes in season opener
Preview | Recap | Game Info | Full Play-by-Play | Boxscores (Ohio State :: Georgetown)

GEORGETOWN, December 11 -- Julian Vaughn helped the Georgetown Hoyas forget they were a short-handed squad. Playing without their top player from last season, Greg Monroe, Vaughn had 11 points and nine rebounds as the Hoyas started the season with a 64-54 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes. Chris Wright, Jerrelle Benimon and Austin Freeman all added 10 apiece for Georgetown. Julian Martin scored a game-high 16 points and almost brought the Buckeyes all the way back from a 16-point second-quarter deficit, and tied the game in the third, but then only scored 5 points in the last period. “This was a really important contest,” Benimon said. “Everybody had fun, everybody was sharing the ball like we're supposed to and it was a great way to open our year.” Benimon also grabbed 11 boards for a double-double. Georgetown started quickly as they had a ten-point lead after the first 10 minutes, and built the lead to 30-14 behind five straight points from point guard Jesrie Calimbas.

Ohio State were able to post a 12-2 run and tie the game at 49, but their struggles at both ends of the floor continued in the fourth quarter when they were outscored by the Hoyas 14-5 for the win. Vaughn's work on the boards and defensive abilities helped limit the Buckeyes scoreless on the first 7 minutes of the fourth, as his team consistently got the ball in close for easy baskets. Coach Thad Matta burned two timeouts in two minutes to try to slow the Hoyas, but it didn't work. A 3-pointer and a drive by Martin later in the quarter pushed the lead to 6 with 2:44 left. Free throws by Calimbas confirmed the win; he finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists, but 1-of-8 from the field. David Lighty scored 11 for Ohio State. “In this league, when you get down by almost 20 points it's hard to come back,” Lighty said. “We made a run at them but we fell just a little bit short.” Dallas Lauderdale posted 8 points and 7 rebounds in 4-of-5 shots, while center Zisis Sarikopoulos added 4 and a game-best 12 rebounds, but Georgetown won the battle on the glass 47-38.

Of course, 22 games ain't special at all. :| If I change teams (NOT ANYTIME SOON) I like making completely different stories from scratch. I repeat, just pretend I didn't mention that at all.

I don't usually read stories, but I am definitely following this one. Damn awesome. Excellent presentation with good recaps. I would shorten the videos though as they can usually take a lot of time to make, unless you are good at them and can make them quickly. I'll have to catch up on the first few pages, though.

Clutch gets a free pass for using Dolph Lundgren's name because of the header he did for Lamrock.
For the rest of you, let that be a reminder. :x

lol to the first part

free pass? thx man (Y) definitely NO mockery intended with Dolph! dude is an absolute badass IRL

Drago's been one of my fav actors ever since he killed Apollo, despite all his subsequent roles being increasingly campy (*cough* He-Man, Punisher etc.) He's nearing mid 50's now but only has daughters, the eldest a teenager. Now, say he knocked up Paula Barbieri or better yet, Grace Jones  and had a son with the same athletic prowess who was slightly taller/stronger and took a knack to the hardwood instead of martial arts... imagine!

Anyway, seemed like a cool idea. Was going to save it for an Assoc. my own, but have faith Thierry can run Junior's story and not fuck it up lol

Respect, right there.
Though I disagree with Punisher
But being compared to LaMarcus Aldrige is not a good start, unless he's allergic to paint. Let's just hope Jr. does well in the story.

River Walk Chronicles ♦ Thierry's Morning Coffee

Weekly Rewind N° 7 • Wizards, Delonte West, injuries, rumors and more...
    nba.com/spurs/morningcoffee | December 12th, 2010

    Image
SAN ANTONIO -- Welcome to the latest installment of my “Morning Coffee” blog, Spurs fanatics. I have some more tidbits here in the table for us to discuss. I'm doing a weekly report with things that happened around the league, including: in my opinion, the most interesting game of the week; signings & waivings; POTW honors; Power Rankings; injury report; All-Star voting and trading rumors. Hope you join the discussion!

Kobe posts near triple-double, game winner; outdels Arenas, WashingtonKobe Bryant limped up to the podium and plopped into a chair behind a microphone: it was the only time he looked human all night long. Kobe had already used every ounce of energy to put together one of the most spectacular performances of the season. Kobe's 28 points -- including 9 rebounds, 10 assists and the game winner over Nick Young -- carried the Los Angeles Lakers to a 100-98 victory over the Washington Wizards on December 7. “I'm fatigued, I'm really tired,” Kobe said. But with professionalism added, “But I can't rest. We've got a huge game tomorrow at Los Angeles against the Clips. It's going to be tough to get some rest.” Bryant made the fadeaway jumper with 1.8 seconds left and then John Wall missed a shot from the right wing on the following possession; he scored 13 points for the Wizards, and incredibly finished the night with no assists. It was one of the many shots that Bryant made look easy. “Why should I be surprised? I was making a lot of great moves. They played some great defense, but I was determined to attack.” The Lakers blew a 17-point halftime lead and were even losing by 4 in the last period, but Bryant took over for the win. Bryant was 12-of-20 from the field in a performance that might end up be one of the best of the year. Gilbert Arenas raised his hand for a duel with Kobe: 34 points and eight rebounds, but was not enough. Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom added 17 and 16 points, respectively, for the Lakers.

Celtics and West to go separate ways when July comes • Celtics guard Delonte West has gone from being a roster filler in his first year to a stat sheet filler in the last couple of seasons. He becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer and the team has made it clear that they'll try to retain him, but it's not one of their top priorities. West will “play elsewhere next season” and he isn’t doing any favors for Boston. “It’s business. At the end of the day, they did what they had to do, and I appreciate the opportunity, but it’s the same with me.” West has answered nearly all of the questions surrounding his game. He can still run an offense, and he’s still an explosive scorer. The man who couldn’t stick on a roster several months ago, known for spats with teammates and suspensions, is about to be a hot name this summer.

Players of the Week • The Miami Heat's LeBron James and the Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played December 5 - 11. Both win this award for the second consecutive week. James and the Heat had a 2-2 week, in surprising losses to Milwaukee and Golden State. James averaged 25.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 9.5 assists for the Heat, posting double-doubles in both wins (23 points & 11 assists at Utah, 22 points & 12 assists at Sacramento); the week also saw Chris Bosh grabbing the 5000th rebound of his career. Durant averaged 34.5 points along with 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals, as the Thunder have lost 8 of their last 10 games, posting a 1-3 week. Just the opposite of James, Durant posted double-doubles in losing efforts: 39 points and 15 rebounds in the loss at Chicago, and 38 and 12 in the loss at Minnesota.

Power RankingsBest teams of the week? Chicago (4-0), Boston (4-0) and Indiana (4-0); the Pacers bounced back from a 0-4 record last week. The worst? Cleveland (0-4), Phoenix (0-4) and Detroit (1-4). High jumps -- Indiana (+16), Portland (+9), Chicago (+8), Washington (+8); Free falls -- Sacramento (-9), Detroit (-8), Philadelphia (-5), Atlanta (-5). Check the power rankings (Top 7) here.

Injury report • Sorted by injuries with most duration, here you can check the full injury report. Orlando Magic center Marcin Gortat underwent a surgical procedure on his right ankle today and will miss at least six weeks. Gortat suffered the injury in Orlando's 108-88 win over Portland at the Rose Garden on December 9; he did not travel with the team to Utah the following morning. The 6-foot-11 Gortat is averaging 3.0 points and 3.7 rebounds for Orlando. In other news, Cavaliers forward Jawad Williams got the bad news confirmed today: he's going to be out for a significant amount of time; one of Cleveland's primary options off the bench, is expected to miss the next two to four weeks after undergoing surgery on his broken left hand. Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy did not play in Portland's 102-101 win over Phoenix because of a strained left hamstring.

All-Star Voting • The 2011 NBA All-Star Ballot was unveiled on November 18th, during a special tip-off event in Los Angeles, the Official Host City of NBA All-Star 2011, and All-Star Balloting began on November 25th at 3 p.m. ET. The 60th NBA All-Star Game, which will air live on TNT and ESPN Radio in the U.S., and reach fans in more than 200 countries and territories in more than 40 languages, will be played at STAPLES Center on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011. NBA All-Star 2011 in Los Angeles will bring together some of the most talented and passionate players in the league’s history for a global celebration of the game. Los Angeles and the STAPLES Center will host NBA All-Star 2011, marking the fifth time The City of Angels and the second time STAPLES Center will be the site of the annual celebration. STAPLES Center last played host to NBA All-Star in 2004, and L.A. also hosted the All-Star Game in 1963, 1972, and 1983. To vote for your Spurs players you'd like to see play in the NBA All-Star Game, text the player's LAST NAME to 69622 (MYNBA).

Augustin to New Jersey • The New Jersey Nets announced today that the club has acquired guard D.J. Augustin from the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for forward Stephen Graham and a 2nd round pick. “D.J. gives us depth at the point guard spot,” said Nets manager Billy King. “We like his instincts and his ability to run a team. He also puts a lot of pressure on the ball defensively. We thank Stephen for his contributions and wish him well in his future with the Bobcats.” The Nets acquire a dynamic 6-0, 180-point in Augustin, who was the 9th overall selection of Charlotte in the 2008 NBA Draft. I must admit the point guard rotation for the Nets is one of the most interesting of the league, in my opinion, with Augustin, Devin Harris and Jordan Farmar. A standout at Texas, Augustin is averaging career-highs of 14.3 points, 5.0 assists and 0.8 steals this season. Graham played for the Bobcats last year, signed as a free agent, averaging 4.2 points and 1.9 rebounds; he comes to the Bobcats for his 2nd stint, and will be Gerald Wallace's backup following Derrick Brown's injury. This season, he was averaging 3.3 points with the Nets.

They could have gotten way more, but it does not sounds like an unrealistic trade as we experience these transactions IRL here and there (be it for saving money or whatever reason).

True, but usually there has to be some context. That's what I don't like. If there is no context, create it.

True, but usually there has to be some context. That's what I don't like. If there is no context, create it.

That's the soul & heart of every dynasty: Fantasy. I guess that's what we all love bout Sit's D. I think Augustin was just driving Larry Brown nuts with his bad decision making and with the injury of Derrick Brown the Bobcats were glad to receive a wing man in Graham. They also save some money, which is MJ's goal this season as they have no chance of making the Playoffs at all.

Thanks a lot Jae! :) I really don't know what to expect when you, Jackal or Shadow post, so thanks a lot if that wasn't sarcasm

Augustin was having a career-year, but with Brown injured and no real backup for Wallace (McGuire sucks, but Graham isn't a LeBron either  ), I think they have a better rotation now. Again I love the Nets PG rotation with Harris, Augustin and Farmar. You guys really can't compare this to Sit's!

Game against Portland in a couple of hours. NON-STOP, NON-STOP! :cheeky:

Nets are stacked at PG. Are they trying to be the T-wolves of the East?
