Sit, Ye, I want to make it more than one season, so I decided to do different recap styles and do not recap some games at all. If any of you guys has a question about a special team / player you can always ask.

The X, Just added some motion blurring and this time I decided to not make the ball Dragonball Z style (@SIT!)

Thierry •, he's playing an awesome season. The good thing is, he is not only killing me in sim games ( like this one), he also rocks when playing against the Raptors. They always run this play where he ends up with a corner three ... you need an agile defender to keep up with him. He's also grabbing many boards ...

Like others said, I like the effects on the picture. Also fond of the recapping style that de-emphasizes individual games. (Y)

9-23 is pretty bad. Considering any trades?

Lamrock, I'd love to trade for a solid PG, but it just seems like my players' trade value just sucks. Except Cousins and Evans, every player only has one "star" trade value.

I would like a more athletic point guard who is better on D than Udrih. I could get one via draft maybe though. I feel that on every other position I am pretty good, maybe a penetrating swing man is missing, someone who could throw down alley oops and score easy points but does not need the ball in his hands all the time like Evans.

Oh and actually I am 11-24 now, not way better though ...

Dominating performance from DeMarcus Cousins outshining his former kentucky teammate

mandich, john26, Yes, Cousins can really really dominate at times. But there are also games where I rather have Dalembert on the court (against better defensive centers).

Funny how the Kings IRL are looking for a PG, just like me : http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... int_guard/

I also thought about Teague, but he would just be another gifted player I guess.

For me Teague is a scoring PG not a true playmaker, he can easily drive to the lane too.

When talking about the first pick of the 2011 draft, there seems to be only one answer no matter who or where you ask. Lance Meredith of the University of Connecticut.

The Huskies still have to drop their first game standing at 5-0 and atop of the Big East Conference, a feat which Meredith is mostly rewarded for.

The big man currently ranks 1st among all Division I players in scoring (24.1 ppg), 3rd in rebounding (10.1 rpg) and 5th in blocked shots (1.9 bpg) shooting .594% from the field, good enough for 5th in the 1st Division (and the only player who takes more than 5 shots per game to shoot better than .56% from the field). He adds 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game to this package and shoots .78% from the charity stripe.

After winning the NCAA championship against the Kansas Jayhawks last year, UConn is once again the big favorite for the Sweet 16 starting in March. "Big Lance" is looking to bring the second consecutive title and also to repeat on the "College player of the year" honors he took home last season. After that, Meredith already announced that he will declare for the 2011 draft, an arrival heavily anticipated by many General Managers in the NBA.

"He could turn around a whole franchise", Sonics Coach and GM Chris Hova said recently. "He's one of the best offensive big man I have seen since Kareem", Heat President and GM Pat Riley says.

Let's have a look at the scouting report of Lance Meredith to get a clear view on his abilities.

NBAdraft.net wrote:Image

Strenghts: Superb quickness and agility for a 7-footer ... long arms allow him to alter shots and grab boards more easily ... big and good hands ... good leaper although his offensive game is not really based on it ... for a 22-year old, his post moves are very fluid ... uses fakes and footwork to score inside ... high basketball IQ, knows what to do in different situations ... very disciplined on and off the court ... very polite, sticks to the facts, knows how to hold back his emotions ... above average shot blocker ... very good at boxing out ... doesn't have foul problems a lot despite physical play ... his body fat is at .0084% ... shows a soft touch up to twelve feet around the basket ... pretty strong in the post ... runs the break very well ... has not suffered any major injuries yet ... has no problem to finish with his left hand, almost ambidextrous ... very coachable ...

Weaknesses: Still needs to work on his passing, especially out of double-teams ... not a flashy player who brings the crowd into the game ... does not often use his athleticism to outplay his opponent ... sometimes to cool and not able to energize his team mates ... for a player of his quality, his ball handling is only average ... seems like he has already reached his prime ...

Man, Meredith may need a little work in his passing, but he will be picked 1st, no doubt! (Y)

As always, loving what you do with draft coverage. Always a pleasure :P

Just a pointer for you moving forward to following seasons. To have more realistic draft classes, download latest roster, auto generate the Draft Class outside of the Association then you'll have to import it when prompted.

This is the only way of bring in this patch change since it's obviously linked to something in the latest roster update that is due out today or tomorrow. A small hassle but better than re-starting. Rest of patch changes apply. If you were only a game or two in Lamrock I would suggest re-booting, but definitely not in your case or my case

Thierry •, I think his passing is his only weakness, but it's still a "7" (NBAdraft.net ratings), so he's definitely no Kwame Brown when it comes to passing and handling.

mandich, the 68? Any reasons for that?

The X, glad you like it. I will have a try with that for the next draft class. A bit more realistic classes would be cool, but I tend to edit the appearances and ratings a bit so that they make more sense (too often wing players are very slow etc.).

Does the injury problem only get solved with restarting an association? (stars moaning about PT when injured) That's pretty bad, but I just can't restart this, it's fun and running well.

Lamrock, glad you like it. It's not that big of a deal in terms of photoshop work. I think I will post it for the top 10 guys, not more though.

Injury problem seems to be solved from my time with T'wolves last night. I just came across simballer (2k producer) at OS discussing creation of draft classes based on new rosters is required for already in progress Associations.

Sit, I'm doin my best. Might get a short Kobe article up soon.

john26, would be really cool imho. The league is just lacking of those old school scoring big man like Robinson, Hakeem and some others.

dare, thanks, glad you like it. I was just like it's simple and plain, still very informative.

Justine., thank you! I think he's a sure-fire number one pick, I just hope the CPU takes it the same, because it often tends to do shit @draft night.

The X, that's cool then. Do you know if the home blowout bug is also solved in running Ds? I will definitely make the next draft class after your advice.

Sonics hold Cs to a historic 8 points in the last, grab from-behind win

Paul Pierce scored 27 in the first half, but couldn't hold off the Sonics' late rally

BOSTON, JANUARY 12th (AP) - Tyreke Evans scores 33 and grabs 8 boards in the Sonics' second consecutive road win.

It did not look like a special night for the whole first three quarters.

The Seattle Supersonics had their problem to keep up with the star-studded Boston Celtics and fell behind early in the 2nd quarter.

Paul Pierce, Boston's leading scorer with just over 22 points per game this season, had himself a ball game in the first half. He scored 27 points, shot 10 of 12 from the field and helped the Celtics to grab an 13 point lead at the half.

He also got some help from Shaq O'Neal who had 12 points and 18 boards in the game and Ray Allen who scored 18 points.
Even in the third quarter the Sonics did not manage to cut the deficit as they were outscored 24-28. But things turned around in the fourth.

"I think we underestimated them pretty much. Guys were already checking their twitter accounts and doing other stuff at halftime. We did not keep our focus of the first two quarters", Ray Allen said.

One of these guys without that first half focus was Rajon Rondo. The All-Star point guard, playing a superb season with 12 points, 10 dimes and 2 steals per game, only had 8 points and 7 assists and held back a little, only attempting 5 shots in the game.

"I was pretty relaxed out there. As they kept scoring on us I had problems to lift my game a bit", Rondo admitted. "But we lost as a team and I don't think it was just because of me".

The Sonics came out on fire in the fourth. It took the Celtics a free throw by Jermaine O'Neal to cap a 10-0 run by the Sonics. And it took them another five minutes to scorer their next bucket, a three pointer by Ray Allen.

In the meantime, the Sonics scored 20 points, making it a 20-4 run. Beno Udrih and Donte Greene both had a three pointer, Jason Thompson a putback lay-in and Tyreke Evans a smooth dunk in the lane to bring the Sonics within one point with 4:10 left in the game.

The home crowd expected a reaction from the Celtics, but they simply could not get it done on the offensive end. With 2 minutes left on the clock, Tyreke Evans poured in a rare three pointer to give the Sonics a two point lead.

The game went on and both teams could not score a basket before Paul Pierce tied the game at 90 with 1:30 left. Tyreke Evans answered with a three point play on the next possesion after playing down the clock.

With just a minute to play and being up by three, Coach Hova decided to send Rajon Rondo to the free throw line. Rondo, a .61% free throw shooter this season, missed both shots.

In the end Beno Udrih sealed a well deserved 98-90 road win for the Sonics as he hit three of four free throws.

The Sonics held the Celtics to eight points in the fourth quarter, a feat the Celtics have only managed three times before, with the last time being just against the Sonics in 2003.

"Defense is something we take pride in", Coach Hova said after the game. "I'm really impressed by my guys, they way we fought back in the game makes me really optimistic for our next tasks".

The Sonics will head to New York and then to Detroit for their next road games.

NOTES: Only three Sonics scored in double figures ... the Celtics only had 2 turnovers in the first half, but 6 in the second ... Sonics outrebound the Celtics 54-48 ... the Sonics bench scored 26 points ... Boston only hit .55% from the free throw line ... Donte Greene had 10 points, 7 boards and 2 assists and hit two threes as a reserve for the injured Omri Casspi ... Kevin Garnett shot 5-20 from the field ... Rajon Rondo only hit two of his seven free throw attempts ... the Sonics have won three of their last four games ...

It was wicked. I mean we were down by like 16 and managed to get back into the game. The Cs completely lost their rhythm, Rondo play horrible and our defense really picked up the slack. Donte Greene is more and more earning a big spot in my game. This kid to game.
