What would happen if the Wolves kept Brandon Roy?

As explained before, those kind of questions belong in their own thread because there's no definitive answer; it's a subject open to debate. This thread is for questions that have a definitive answer rather than being a point of discussion.

A player has a 1 yr left in contract and player option next year. If he gets waived now, does the team have to pay for the player option next year?

Depends on what's stipulated in the contract. From Larry Coon's FAQ:

All contracts with player options contain a clause that indicates whether the player receives his salary for the option year in the event he is waived prior to invoking his option.

Is there a stat anywhere, where you can check out how many of your offensive rebounds came from your own missed shot?

Keep track yourself?

Did any of these teams win championships?

No.

Pretty standard question, but I was wondering what the quarter lengths were for:

-NBA Summer League
-NBA D-League

Do both play for 12 minutes or are they shortened? I'm starting a My Player in NBA 2K11 and I want the quarters to be accurate.

The D-League uses the same rules as the NBA, aside from FIBA goaltending rules they're trying out this season. Players foul out after committing ten fouls in Summer League play, I believe the rest of the rules are the same for the most part.

They're just ten minute quarters in the Summer League, unless that changed this year.

When people say right wing/block/corner (on the court), from what perspective is it? A defender's (back to the basket), or facing the basket?

Re: The "Have Your Random NBA Question Answered" Thread

Mon Nov 22, 2010 9:23 am

It's from the point of view of the offense, facing the basket.

Why not, at least 2 teams have done it already this season.

Of course it's allowed. Why wouldn't it be?

This might be a bit too specific of a question, but I'll ask anyway. Someone showed me this link of a boxscore of an old Spurs-Raptors game back in the 2001-2002 season where both teams shot abysmally which made me think does anyone know the record for the game with the worst combined FG% (so like combining both teams field goals made and field goal attempts, they shot the worst combined percentage ever in one single game)? If that is a bit too specific, how about the worst FG% ever shot by a team in one game?

Milwaukee (.229) vs. Minneapolis (.263)

Found it here. Look under field goal percentage. :)
