Hmm.. What To Do

Sun Nov 07, 2010 6:12 am

I got drafted late in the 1st round to Washington. Not too bad of a place for a rookie, they have some potential. But, I personally hate losing. I average about 13ppg, 4.5rpg, 0.7spg - kinda feel like I'm pulling a little more than my own weight (LOL) and we're still losing too much. My question is your thought. Should I stay and wait out my contract, or ask for a trade?

Well that depends on a lot of things. I know losing is messed up, but you have to look at other teams- what players are in your position and if you will get playing time. I myself was drafted 6th pick 2nd round by Detroit, we were loosing pretty much every game by 10-20 points. I asked for a trade and went to Chicago, now I'm a starting Guard there playing over 30 minutes. It helps me play better and develop, not like in Detroit. But if you feel the Wizards are treating you right and you like your teammates you should consider staying. Else just get the hell out of there.

I have no regrets on asking for a trade, now every game is a lot more fun, and if I'm hot my teammates let me, got my career high there, 38 :)
