Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I have a feeling that Taker-Kane feud will still continue with Taker screwing Kane with the championship at some point, with Taker having that American Badass character or as a heel

I'm in if they bring back the Big Evil character but I doubt we'll see that again. This is probably another break for 'Taker and have him back by the Rumble or so.

This is why the Undertaker said that it was a "personal thing" and that Brock needed to "train harder"

Why? When he's healthy he can still go and he still draws. It hasn't exactly reached Hogan-like levels as yet and unlike Hogan, Taker will actually put other guys over.

Given that Taker is likely to retire before Kane does...can Kane survive without him?

I don't see why not. Although they've gone back to the Taker/Kane feud time after time, they've been on different brands for long stretches and Taker's had time off the road on top of that, yet Kane's career has stayed afloat.

^

2 things that I've enjoyed the most from the last PPV.

-Team Smackdown winning.

-The botched springboard splash. Booyaka! Booyaka!

P.s. Cena still suck.

Just seen Bragging Rights.

Only great match was the Ziggler-Danielson one.
The Barrett-Orton match was just used for the Cena-Nexus storyline and uhh, the 'Taker-Kane match was horrible. The Bragging Rights match didn't get much props (I blame it to the wrestlers competing: c'mon, Tyler Reks? Alberto Del Rio? THE MIZ? :shake: )

WWE is advertising that the King of the Ring concept is scheduled to return as a one-night special for the three-hour Raw in Philadelphia, PA on 11/29. The show takes place at the Wells Fargo Center.

Not exactly as cool as a PPV but this should be better than a simple pick two guys, match on raw, winner = #1 contender.

Didn't they do this a couple of years back and Regal won it? That made me angry

Correct. Regal was in line for a bit of a push beginning with that King of the Ring win but then got suspended for a Wellness violation and it all fell through.

I had no idea he got suspended. I didn't have the internet at the time I don't think, I was just annoyed that they gave it to him over some of the younger guys involved. Then he pretty much vanished.

With all the gimmick PPVs they have, King of the Ring is a concept that should return as an annual event. I'd also have Survivor Series return to a card of four-on-four or five-on-five tag matches instead of having a couple of token "traditional Survivor Series" matches to justify the name.

they could totally do the bragging rights match at survivor series but then they don't have a ppv to promote their game.

They could probably still do at least one inter-brand tag match at Survivor Series and have Bragging Rights as nothing but Smackdown vs RAW matches.

Yes, exactly my point. The 2005 Survivor Series was actually one of the better Survivor Series PPV's over the recent years. Plus the first Bragging Rights match last year was senseless to be a 7-on-7 and not an elimination tag.

i miss the old school 4 on 4 elimination tag. i mean really what's the point of 7 on 7 if you already know cena's gonna make it til the end
