Ailene Voisin: Webber is better off as a reserve

One of the questions regarding Webber's return was whether it would disrupt team chemistry as they tried to ease him back into the system. Now that he's back in the lineup, Ailene Voisin suggests he should make his contribution from the bench.

Your thoughts?

if Webber isn't ready to contribute 100% then have him come off the bench for now. It's not like Kings are suffering with Miller in the lineup. Clearly not, Miller is playing really well and shouldn't have to make way for a guy who can't play night in night out

i think what the kings are doing is fine. he's their best player, why wouldn't you want him playing starters minutes? and this is the season's stretch run- he needs minutes to get his timing and chemstry back with this teammates so there will be no worries heading into the playoffs

I think either way is a good solution... Obviously they have a great chemistry (IMO Minnesota only, could beat them in that dept., maybe)... So if Webber comes off the bench that won't hurt them, Brad Miller is making a strong case for that to happen. In time, though, Divac will retire, and both Miller and Webber will form a outstanding frontcourt (Y)

Webber is not hurting the kings. He doesnt play like that. I'd go with vlade and cwebb starting becuase they are more accustomed to the system which is crucial in the playoffs. Next season Brad Miller and Webber will be able to work it together, but the kings are staring down the title this season, so go with vlade and webber, with brad miller backing up off the bench. He's more of a centre than webber is too, so he is more versatile in that regard.
Next season the kings will have the best frontcourt of miller, webber, peja...

i think there are 3 things that can stop the Kings this season
1. Lakers........Lakers can play crap all season but when it comes to playoffs and especially against the Kings, they bring it hard
2. Minnesota........Garnett seems to have real good games against Kings/Webber. They can't stop him + he's got Cassell now
3. An injury to any of the following players Webber, Bibby, Christie, Miller, Divac and most importantly Peja

i'd start miller instead of webber for fun because its funny to see an all-white starting lineup :D but seriously, webber should start -- either way webber or miller will still get thier minutes, but webber has the ability to take over a game and you have to get him ready for the playoffs. once divac's ability start to detoriate further i'd plug miller in in an instance, i might even try it once in awhile right now during the regular season just to see how it works.

imagine if sabonis were a king.......... sigh.

Hmm the Kings have been dropping a few games, including their last two (maybe 3? dunno)... Not good. Webber isn't bringing anything that Miller didn't already bring. (n)
