I'm going to need some help with Shader Detail. I can't see any differences between 0, 1, or 2.

By default, the game forces the value 1, byt You can use 2 or 0 by forcing Read-Only, however, it looks the same as 0 and 1

VIDEOSETTING_MSAAQUALITY = 7

why 7 ? is it random or you tried other options?

At least for me, the option to change MSAA qual. in game is locked. Is it different for you and others ?

its because it is using the low setting courts (_lo.iff) which are generally more accurate. same thing happened last year

Hey!! Looking for some help here.
Tried 2K11 on my new machine I just got, and without tweaking the config file (I still can't find it on Windows 7), and with everything in-game set to max I'm getting around 38-45 FPS, which is great for me, but I don't know if I can go higher.

Specs:
AMD Phenom II 965 x4 (Quad Core) @3.39 GHz
ATI Radeon HD5570 1 GB DDR2
4 GB RAM DDR3

If someone could post a config file for my machine it would be great!!
Thanks in advance!!

you should be getting way higher fps with your rig.

might help if you let people know what catylist drivers you are using so you could compare notes with other ati users. catylist driver tend to be very hit or miss.

How is it that the two versions are at all different? That doesn't seem too difficult a thing to get right.

Messed around with the config settings and here's what I got in regard of the court reflections and overall look. The odd thing is that arena should be set to low in order to get such court reflections.

Here are some other courts:

I have a similar setup.
AMD Phenom II 955 (Quad Core) @ 3.20ghz
ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB DDR5
4GB DDR3

I have my Catalyst standard settings set to Quality and all my in game settings to max at 1920x1080 and I'm getting about 80fps with no config.cfg tweaks. Have you tried adjusting your catalyst settings?

Has anyone came across such hair glitch ? Everyone with "full" hair has this type of glitch on their heads :D I remember having the same issue with NBA 2k10, but don't remember when it got fixed (after patch or after driver update). Anyone with ATI VGA also experience this glitch ?

OK, I finally found my settings file in Win 7.

This is my config.cfg file.
Code: Select all
VIDEOSETTING_ADAPTERINDEX = 0
VIDEOSETTING_WIDTH = 1440
VIDEOSETTING_HEIGHT = 900
VIDEOSETTING_COLORDEPTH = 32
VIDEOSETTING_VSYNC = 1

VIDEOSETTING_DEPTHOFFIELD = 1
VIDEOSETTING_FLOORREFLECTION = 1
VIDEOSETTING_PLAYERLOD = 0
VIDEOSETTING_STADIUMLOD = 1
VIDEOSETTING_CROWDDETAIL = 2
VIDEOSETTING_SHADERDETAIL = 1
VIDEOSETTING_SIDELINECHARACTER = 0
VIDEOSETTING_ANISOTROPICQUALITY = 2
VIDEOSETTING_PARTICLEFFECT = 0
VIDEOSETTING_FORCE_HDR_ON_INTEL_GPU = 0
MAIN_LOGICAL_THREAD = 3
GPU_LOGICAL_THREAD = 2
STALL_CPU_ON_END_FRAME = 0
LIMIT_FLIP_QUEUE_LENGTH = 2
LIMIT_FLIP_QUEUE_LENGTH_SLEEP = 0
STICKYKEY = 510
TOGGLEKEY = 62
FILTERKEY = 126
ACCESSIBILITYKEY_SAVED = 0
LANGUAGE = -482460772
WINDOW_X = 0
WINDOW_Y = 0
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_0 = 1
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_1 = 0
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_2 = -1
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_3 = -1
NETWORK_PERFORM_BENCHMARKING = 1
NETWORK_OPT_UPSTREAM_BANDWIDTH = 0
ONLINE_FORWARDED_PORT = 0

My specs:
AMD Phenom II 965 x4 (Quad core) @3.39 GHz
ATI Radeon HD5570 1 GB DDR2
4 GB RAM DDR3

What can I do to make the game run better? I'm right now getting around 38-45 FPS with everything maxed ingame. What about the "CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_" values??

Thanks in advance!

if you're using Win 7, type "%appdata%" on the search box of your start menu, then it will display a folder called "Roaming", then open it and you will see a folder called "2k Sports" and then go to "Saves". there you will see the Config.cfg file.

Right click on it, Properties and then Untick the Read-Only button. then Open the Config and edit all you want. after that, make sure that you save it and then change again the cfg file to Read-Only attribute, so that you're game will not be able to change it.

enjoy!
