I just got the game and am gonna start a franchise this weekend(I don't get to play during weekdays, that's what you get for getting straight Fs and Ds lol ).

Anyway, I'm taking the Kings with this lineup:

C- Divac(PF on D)
PF Webber(C on D)
SF Turkoglu
SG Christie
PG Bibby
6th Man- Clark

Gonna make a rotation when I get to play again.

Ok but what about Peja instead of Hedo?

I always play MJ at the point. And on defense i have MJ defend the pg. Coach Collins would never do this i know, but Coach Collins has tendinitis to worry about; i don't. 8)

oh, i am not worried about when stockton and malone retire, i plan on developing kirilenko, stevenson, and collins into superstars.

While i certainly don't plan to play as Utah (big MJ/Wiz fan) i can see the appeal of it. First, you get to play with two major hall of famers in Stockton and Malone - trying to finally get them a ring. Then, they retire and you have the challenge of completely rebuilding and changing the look of the team. It's a nice combination.

My first franchise will probably not be with an already made team. I usually do alittle tweaking with the rosters and then play with players returned to the franchise where they had their best years (e.g., Zo and Mugsy back to Charlotte/N.O.; Kemp back to seattle; etc.) including classic players (Kareem, Magic, Worthy to the Lakers). I usually run this type of franchise first for nostalgia, then I get alittle creative and create custom teams like my all International team, all 6' and under team, Dream Team's 1-4, etc., and let them have a go. Only when I play against friends or on-line do I use the pre-packaged teams.

Anyway, Yeah i do that too, Dr. P, Sometimes i use a team with players of crappy ratings but with potentail so that i get 1st pick the next year and see how everybody improves...That's kinda fun for me...

I'm doing a franchise at the moment where i've added LeBron James into Cleveland...(except his career is going downhill even though he has "A" for player potentail ) I'm up to the year 2005 and he now plays for New York and he's overall rating has gone down 2 since the start of my franchise...

I probably won't get the game until around christmas time (or even after, when the price goes down). Despite the longer wait, I think I can benefit from the fact that the new rosters will be ready made when I get the game. I'm looking forward to my franchise with the Bulls.

Now N8the______ [you just lost the "great" suffix from that asinine comment], if you don't like my idea, that's cool and I respect that. But I really don't see how my choice of franchise is all that much worse than yours, considering your starting your initial franchise with UTAH ? Wait until the "showerfun" posters get a hold of that post .

Anyways, its just more interesting to me to let some of those old teams give it one more go, with the help of the new rookies, who I can further develop. But if that's not your bag, then so be it. But I'm sure you can bet your bottom dollar that running with the JAZZ is not really a high priority on many posters's lists.

Great team and going to only get better. Anyone able to offer help to me. I just got NBA Live 2003. I am used to playing 2001 with updates, but 2003 for some reason I get smoked on D. I can score no problem, but on D they just score on me a ton, with a ton of fast breaks and alley oops. If I could play a decent D I could win, maybe it could be the camara angle. Anyways, any advice would be well appreciated. Thanks

even though my franchise setting difficulty is just at starter, i'm having a difficult time playing D with the AI showing perfect and i mean perfect transition plays, alley hoops and tons of monster jams! the only good thing i got here are the rebounds (lots of it!) and showtime offenses that make me go and . it has a great soundtrack too!

I wish i'll have NBA Live 2003 soon, then i'll start a franchise with the bulls:
