Turkey-Russia match. 3rd quarter result: 48-37. Tunceri made a lay-up at last second.

EDIT: Turkey wins against Russia. 65-56. Can't wait Greece-Turkey match.

Greece will probably win it by few points. After a near-loss game, they'll be motivated to win. Plus, they got one of the best defensive coaches in Europe.

Damn it, Spanish won against Tall Blacks. They're so arrogant, Vazquez told his teammates about his alley-oop  and posed for the photo. What an ego! I hope USA will crush them in the semifinals. They deserve some butt-whooping.

Again a win for us! Nice to see that the lads showed character in these 2 games, when they were without 2 of the best players, with teams playing full defense against us and with the neutral guys in the stands, cheering for the opposition in both games!

Now Sofo and Fotsis are back, team will get back in the right tempo and unless we face Spain in the semis we serious chances for the finals!
Can't wait for the game against turkey! If we win,we lock the first place 80%

I'm not surprised at all with Spain loss yesterday. Don't be surprised if it was a plan to finish second and avoid Team USA in the semis. I bet they did it on purpose! Those Spaniards are bloody evily smart!

Journalists here were that would happen days before!

This sucks, man. For us.

KEYS FOR TURKEY:
- Be aware of Diamantidis and Spanoulis
- Use area defense
- Blankete Sofo and Tsartsaris
- Help C and PF to get score.

I was happy about it. A deserved win for Germany. And without Dirk Nowitzki, great man (Y)

Edit: Turkey vs. Russia ....Mister 4th-Quarter Hedo has again shown, how important it is for the team (Y)

1 shot away from a win against Argentina. Good effort by the Aussies but poor form for not putting away the Argentines earlier.

So greek fans, wanna continue telling me that we can't make it far? Yeah, I'm picking you guys out as haters. Let's go AUSSIES!

Nice job from the referees deciding that the five steps and drop punt by the Argentinian player, whilst occurring before the buzzer sounded, happened after the game was over.

Argentina-Australia, Richmond-Port, West Coast-North, West Coast-Port, West Coast-Brisbane, and I read the result of Australia-Jordan on here before watching the game. Four straight weeks of close losses. June seems so long ago.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised they let that guy kick the ball... what the fuck. There was still time left on the clock. Isn't it a technical to kick the ball in that fashion? >.<"

In all fairness that was a game the Boomers could've won without it coming down to a last shot but I agree, that was poor clock awareness by the officials. Kind of bad sportsmanship too.

I'd suggest that even were the game over, a technical in that situation may be warranted. Though at least they worked out after the inbound by Argentina that never got touched, that the timekeeper was an idiot. They didn't use the same guy as the '72 gold medal game, did they?

I imagine if that happened in the NBA, it'd have been followed by a fine if nothing else. Oh well, what's done is done, the Boomers came up short. On to the next game.

Match USA vs. Slovenia was great.

The very best play in my opinion:

Didn't watch the game, but sounds like a terrible shit sportsmanship shown by some douche. The refs not doing anything is more than disappointing. No wonder, nobody really cares about FIBA in America.

It's common to have shitty officiating in international competitions like the Olympics or Worlds, even more shitty than NBA standards.
Good news is that the NBA is catching up to the shitty standards of international officiating. Hooray!

Off night for all of our players. Seems like the double OT game vs Serbia really hurt us in the long run. No shot was falling and in the end, being down by 20, they stopped playing defense.

US surprisingly down 46-43 at halftime against Brazil, I guess Brazil's 18-31 shooting (7-11 from deep) had something to do with it.

oh too bad.. USA commited 19 TO in the first half alone compare to the 10 TO of Brazil.. I will not be surprised if they lose this game..

A real nail-biter there. Wouldn't have thought it'd be that hard without Varejao for Brazil, but at least they won it. Great game for Durant, 27 and 10 boards. (Y)

And both Rose and Durant screwed up in the end. Rose had that turnover, but Durant gave Brazil 2 points when he was called for goal-tending. In the end, that foul by Durant with 3.5 left turned out well, despite the fact it was nearly a 3-point play opportunity.
