That's definitely bandwagoning*. Pretty crappy bandwagon these days but still a bandwagon.

TJ Ford refuses a buyout from Pacers

Things could get ugly between the Pacers and T.J. Ford.

The Pacers - like they've been doing for quite some time - tried to trade Ford on Wednesday.

They couldn't throw him in a deal so they then tried to negotiate a buyout with him.

The Pacers wanted Ford to take a buyout for about $5 million.

The point guard quickly shot that idea down.

"I'm not taking a buyout," Ford said.

You can't blame Ford for not taking a buyout, especially since he's scheduled to make $8.5 million next season.

He didn't pick up his player option to leave $3.5 million on the table.

"T.J. is on the team and we expect him to come in here and be professional and try to get a job and get some playing time," Bird said.

Remains to be seen whether they'll ultimately give him the Jamaal Tinsley treatment and hold him out for a whole season.

I hated when they did that to him. I know Jamaal Tinsley was quite the idiot in his Indiana days, but holding him out because he won't take less money to be released is just wrong. Not necessarily in a sense of what's good for the team, but in a player's career is being screwed sense.

I don't think TJ Ford is THAT bad. He's not a guy you want to lean on as a starting point guard, but if he's paired with another Vet point guard he can still be a productive guy.

He could also continue his 7 year process of trying to learn how to shoot a basketball, that's kind of useful too.

I thought it was bad form too, they didn't handle that well at all. At least they're open to a buyout this time and aren't talking about banishing him...yet.

So he'd lose 3.5million if he agreed to a buyout. How much is he worth in the market these days. Probably close to minimum...

Too bad he can't shoot 3s.

Kwame Brown to join Bobcats.

To the surprise of countless NBA observers, Kwame Brown and Michael Jordan are together again.

A reunion that no one in the league expected after their well-chronicled difficulties in Washington will be taking place in Charlotte this season after Brown struck a one-year deal at the veteran minimum with the Jordan-owned Bobcats.

Surprising move indeed, though I'd say Kwame's options are limited and the Bobcats are just looking to rent a big body for a season, outweighing their history.

Surprised he didn't land in Minnesota. Lets watch Kwame average 22/12/4 blocks this season and prove MJ to be a genius after all.

All Kwame Brown needs to do now is do what Larry Brown tells him to, even if Jordan suddenly appears in practice and calls him a faggot.

I thought Kwame Brown would remain a free agent for a long time. Turns out I was wrong.

I Actually think he might be a nice back-up,nothing too fancy, but i would certainly take him for the minimum.

I'm going to call MJ a faggot for signing Kwame "Horrible Draft Bust Center On A Team That Already Had More Shitty Centers Than It Needed" Brown. Hopefully, he'll be traded soon. Him or Nazr Mohammed or Erick "Damper Than Fuck" Dampier or Desagana "Borderline Draft Bust" Diop. As you can see, we've got enough crap centers that are taking up way too much cap space. (Erick Dampier: $13M, Nazr: $6.9M, Diop: $6.5M)

Dampier will most likely be waived to void his contract (also they have 15 players already), Diop is a disaster indeed, but you are severly underrating Nazr and you would prefer Diop to back up Nazr over Kwame? For a minimum contract, Kwame is a decent pickup especially considering the current situation.

Oh, I wasn't saying their names in order of preference to get their asses kicked off the team, but I agree that Kwame is the best center we've got right now. I'm just kind of pissed of at MJ that he's signed yet another center.

I'm not so sure if he's the best center, Nazr still remains that imo. Understand the center situation in Charlotte hasn't been the best, but if Nazr could play as well in extended minutes as he played last year, I wouldn' worry about it that much (17 points, 11 rebounds, 1.6 blocks while shooting 55% per 36 minutes would be just great, but I'm not entirely sure if he could possibly do that).

lolz, Kwame isn't the best anything anywhere. You're going to get a guy who can't rebound in traffic, has zero post game, zero basketball IQ, and an inefficiency to even throw down a dunk.

Having seen Nazr and Kwame over the last 5 years I'm gonna have to say Nazr is better, Kwame is just a train wreck 95% of the time. The other 5% is when he matches up with a team that can't rebound, then he's got open reign to all the uncontested boards his little hands desire.

Diop was a beast defensively when he was still in Dallas. Was really piss when the Mavs traded him.

Or his contract simply voided as the final year isn't guaranteed, cutting him from the roster and immediately shedding his salary from the payroll.
