I've decided it is going to take too long to write big reviews of each match. I'm going to start recapping a few games at a time.

RECAPS

CHA def. MIL 115-109

TEAM BESTS:
Walter Herrmann - 29 points (11-13 from the field), 8 blocks, 5 rebounds.
Maurice Ager - 24 points (12-15 from the field) and 3 assists.

notes:
-best game for CHA from free-throw line: 27-29 FT% (91.3%)
-Maurice Ager's debut in Milwaukee. Was Milwaukee's top scorer
-CHA: blocked 26 shots - MIL: blocked 2 shots
-Milwaukee was down by 24 at halftime, but were only two down at the beginning of 4th quarter after outscoring CHA 31-9 in the 3rd. Maurice Ager and Andrew Bogut were to blame.

ENORMOUS TRADES
-Signed Hilton Armstrong, Robert Swift, and Sean Singletary for trading purposes.

-Five team blockbuster trade:
-------Milwaukee Bucks get: Donte' Greene, Brandon Jennings, Josh Powell, and Marquis Daniels
-------Houston Rockets get: Maurice Ager, Hilton Armstrong, Hakim Warrick, Ersan Ilyasova, and Sean Singletary
-------Indiana Pacers get: DJ Mbenga, Sonny Weems, and Robert Swift
-------LA Lakers get: Brent Barry, Jerry Stackhouse, Travis Diener, and Chuck Hayes
-------Charlotte Bobcats get: Adam Morrison, James White, and Lamar Odom

Notes:
-19 players were involved in this enormous blockbuster trade that was to make Lamar Odom go to Charlotte and Jerry Stackhouse go to LA. It was also a good chance for Brandon Jennings and Marquis Daniels to leave Charlotte and for Robert Swift to actually get a team. Unfortunately for him, two days later, he would be waived by Indiana and become team-less again.

ORL def. CHA 147-132 in Overtime

TOP SCORERS:

Jason Richardson:43
Vince Carter:41
Jameer Nelson:30
Mickael Pietrus:20
Raymond Felton and Stephen Jackson:17

Notes:
-Orlando led the entire game, but Charlotte tied the score for the first time with 3 minutes left in regulation, but never took the lead.
-Neither Charlotte center was able to score a point. Instead, Desagana Diop blocked 7 shots and dished 9 assists and Tyson Chandler grabbed 16 boards.
-Jameer Nelson, JJ Reddick, and Raymond Felton all dished exactly 17 assists.
-Charlotte failed to score a single field goal in the four minute OT: all they got were four foul shots. Felton made all of them.
-Orlando's back-up center Raef LaFrentz had a quiet double-double with 11 points and 10 assists. He also grabbed seven rebounds.

CHA def. CHI 136-128

CHA: 33 | 65 | 100 | 136
CHI: 27 | 67 | 109 | 128

CHA: Jason Richardson 47 points, Walter Herrmann 32 points
CHI: Luol Deng 36 points, Joakim Noah 32 points (off bench)

Notes:
-Walter Herrmann grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds and scored a career-high 32 points.
-Tyson Chandler blocked 11 shots and grabbed 15 rebounds, but failed to score 10 points for a triple double.
-Luol Deng, Joakim Noah, Brad Miller, and Derrick Rose scored exactly 100 points between them.
-Chicago failed to reject a single shot from the Bobcats, who scored a 60 FG%.
-Raymod Felton dished 20 assists, scored 23 points, and grabbed 6 rebounds.
-Chicago's Ronald Murray and Taj Gibson both had injuries to their wrists and were out this game.

CHA def. MEM 120-119

MEM: 19 | 42 | 82 | 119
CHA: 38 | 60 | 92 | 120

MEM: Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo: 29 points each
CHA: Gerald Wallace: 25 points 17 rebounds, Jason Richardson: 24 points

Notes:
-Gerald Wallace's first Game MVP of the season with 25 points, 17 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
-Walter Herrmann's first 100 FG% game all season (15 points, 3 outside shots, 2 FT's)
-Hamed Haddadi blocked 2 shots and scored 17 points in his debut in Memphis after being a reserve all season.
-Marko Jaric disappointed Grizzlies fans after missing a potential game-winning lay-up with half a second left.
-Jason Richardson struggled in the first quarter, failing to score a point and only dishing a single assist.

My poor Rockets. :shake: At least you get a guy with an epic 'stache in Adam Morrison! Your OT loss against the Magic probably makes you hate them more.

More than I already do in real life??? Hell, no. Not a chance. Besides I was lucky not to get blown out ,let alone tie the score.
Axel13 wrote:At least you get a guy with an epic 'stache in Adam Morrison!
Yeah, he plays OK, but I think he's going to end up being a reserve.
Axel13 wrote:My poor Rockets.
Sorry, but trading is kind of ridiculous in Live 2003. This is the end result of about 6 or 7 different trades- all to get Lamar Odom. He plays surprisingly well at PG.

Yeah, I saw you mention it somewhere else, and I've thought about trying that, but I want to give Walter Herrmann and Boris Diaw good minutes at PF, because they are complete beasts in my Live 2003 rosters.
Badger wrote:Which roster you are using?
TRU09 with very minor tweaks. I'm creating rosters for next season right now and need help with rookie's ratings. Feel like helping me out??? Once the 2011 season starts, I'll be doing a Miami Heat franchise, which will be fun.

Charlotte Picks Up Shaun Livingston and Dominic McGuire
Shaun Livingston, a 6'7 point guard is still recovering from a pretty much destroyed knee, but is finally set to play. Charlotte signed him on the spot for the remainder of the season for 500K. He will wear the #18 jersey.
Dominic McGuire, a 6'9 SF/PF will also sign with Charlotte with the same one-year minimum contract. His #5 is being used by Walter Herrmann, an unexpected star, so he will wear the #8.

I've shuffled around a lot of my players (within CHA and PHO) and simmed a bunch of games. Lamar Odom's gone to Phoenix to balance things out.
ALSO THE ALL-STAR GAME IS APPROACHING. STAY TUNED.

Charlotte Gets Revenge And Kills Orlando On The Road
116-99. Jason Richardson, virtually nonexistent in the first half, came back for Charlotte and scored 32 points in the second half. Tyson Chandler stepped up to the challenge and shut down Dwight Howard, holding Superman to a mere 9 points and 6 rebounds. Walter Herrmann and Stephen Jackson brought down 13 boards each. Boris Diaw scored exactly 4 in points, assists, rebounds, steals, and blocks from off the bench. Gerald Wallace blocked more shots than the entire opposing team. All these individual efforts won this game against Orlando.

With the approaching all-star game, I've decided to put together a little NLSC contest. The winners will be featured in the next draft.

Rules:
-The five people with the highest scores are the winners.
-There will be 10 questions. You get a point for every question you answer correctly and no points for incorrect answers.
-You can't edit your answers after you've submitted them otherwise you're disqualified.
-You must submit your answers before I post the All-Star Game. (duh.)
-Post your answers only in this thread. NOT THE SUNS THREAD.
-The line-ups for both teams are posted above.
-Please bold your answers.
-Do not post your info now. Only the 3 winners get to post their info after the All-Star game is posted.

Questions: (copy and paste this part into your post when you answer the questions)

1. Which side will win? The East or the West?
2. What will the final score be? Hints: Both scores must be within 10 of the correct answer to receive a point. I played 12 minute quarters. Also the game was decided by a clutch basket. Keep that in mind.
3. Who scored the winning basket?
4. Who scored the most points?
5. How many points did he score? Must be within 10 points to get it right.
6. Who missed the All-Star Game due to an extended injury?
7. Which player in the All-Star Game is leading a team who is currently 5-43 and running dead last in the NBA?
8. Who got the most rebounds in the game?
9. How many rebounds did he get? Must be within 2 rebounds.
10. Who was the MVP?
