The only place one can say the Bulls "sucked" was outside shooting. That will be fixed this season with Kyle Korver.

Well, the Bulls had a subpar Pythagorean record of 36-46, and while they had some injuries (who didn't?), they were, for all intents and purposes, worse than their mediocre record. Their offense was just plain bad. Boozer and Korver should help put them about a dozen slots higher in the offensive rating rankings (last year's offense was basically contested two point jumpers, and they just added a low post scorer and a three-point specialist). They're much improved, but I see them falling just short of 50 wins with the increasingly tough Eastern Conference.

As for Rose, I'll start giving him props once he puts up a higher offensive than defensive rating.

What about getting to the free throw line and forcing turnovers?

OK, I don't really pay much attention to team stats outside the Rockets, so you got me there.

Wow no respect for the Bobcats? Many of you even chose Cleveland over them. Cleveland couldnt even beat Charlotte with Lebron. I know they didnt do well in the playoffs but theyre still better than a lot of these other teams in the east.

Kind of one and the same. If you want to concede a discussion, you're better off just posting something to that effect or just leaving it be.

Not only that, but if you go back a year the Cavs were 3-0 against the Bobcats, making them 4-3 in the last two years. Meaning it's not just unrelated, but only technically correct. (And going back farther it probably just increases in the Cavs favor.)

The New Jersey Nets are 1-0 in games played against the Boston Celtics in the past five months, having defeated them in their last meeting, at home no less. Without the services of Tony Allen, the Celtics will be lucky to win 10 games this year.

outside of the Blazers. who had more injuries to key players? The bulls were basically playing with 2 NBA starter worthy players for much of the season... (and both were injured) maybe 6 total players who deserve playing time. The bulls were indeed mediocre/bad/sucked/etc last year

1 miami
2 orlando
3 boston
4 chicago
5 milwaukee
6 atlanta
7 charlotte
8 new york

Milwaukee also has injury issues, specifically Bogut. Salmons only plays well when he gets traded. look forward to the bucks and bulls duking it out for the central division

1 los angeles
2 dallas
3 okc
4 denver
5 portland
6 san antonio
7 houston
8 sacramento

the kings just cuz Evans is one of my fav players in the league

Bogut's injury last year was a freak accident though and aside from that, there's only been one year where he's missed more than half the season. Excluding that season, he's appeared in around 90% of the Bucks' games since he was drafted. I'm inclined to agree in regards to Salmons though.

Sorry aussies- i'm calling it as i see it. his last 2 seasons have ended prematurely with season ending injuries.

correct me if i'm wrong here....aren't injuries considered a freak accident anyway? a guy makes a cut- his knee "pops". torn acl. or if you land on someone's ankle, it's gonna be sprained. players are susceptible to injuries especially when they are in the air/elevate to the basket but that's part of the game.

short of some guy going Kermit Washington on you.. your injury is a freak occurrence

I'm going to muay-thai you for that.

Funny how most people predict that the Rockets wont be making the playoffs. It all comes down to this:

Ariza: Stop driving it in with 3 defenders on you!
Brooks: Stop bricking it with no defenders on you!

If Ariza stop shooting bricks, which is likely going to happen with Yao on the floor drawing defenders, and if Yao manage to stay healthy, then I guess it's pretty safe to say that the Rockets have a fair chance of making the playoffs. Probably a 5th - 7th seed.

Their roster is balanced with young talents and veterans. What they lack is a big man who can clog the paint with his defense. I doubt Brad Miller is going to satisfy that need so I guess they're still relying on Yao to do that. I hope he only plays around 25-30 minutes a game at most though.
