did i call that shiz or what? :P

awesome win! looks like you've got your hands full in this series... didn't know Gilberto had that kind of game still left in him... Rockets aint messing around either which is good to see (Y)

Yes you did, now please predict how i can win this series without relying on game winners. I have no clue right now
Gil has been good all-year long but he surprised me with this kinda performance :x
as for the Rockets, Yao dominates as usual and they're in great shape with the addition of Jamison at the deadline.

Rare slump for Morrow, he has been solid for me ever since i signed him....

I'm glad too (Y)

Unfortunately not, the rosters are living rosters from some time ago. As for the sliders, I am using a set loosely based on Playmaker's ones but have since made a lot of amendments, so it doesn't exist out there.

Good stuff. (Y) I don't think that you could've asked for a better way to start the playoffs. As for the Hawks though, they surely could've.

Wade does it again for Chicago as Bulls take 2-0 lead at the Buzzer

Image

Chicago, IL - Just like in game 1, Chicago still had 2 timeouts left in the waning moments of the game.

This time though, they didn't have to use them.

With the game tied after a ferocious 15-0 come back run by the gritty Bulls in the final 3:57 of the forth quarter, superstar Dwyane Wade rebounded a Josh Howard miss with 3.7 seconds remaining and sprinted down court, then pulled up just inside the three-point line and shot the ball over Howard and Gilbert Arenas with exactly 1.0 showing on the clock.

The ball sailed through the air for what seemed like an eternity.

Then, the buzzer sounded; and the ball sailed through the basket.

Nothing but Net.

Wade, who finished with a game high 39 points, had 10 of the Bulls' final 17 points and along with Derrick Rose, led the Bulls to a 40-23 forth quarter as they stomped back to defeat the Washington Wizards at the buzzer, 103-101.

The Chicago superstar made a game winning 3 at the buzzer in game one on a beautiful play drawn by coach Byron Scott out of two timeouts. This time, he didn't need it.

"I was about to call it," Wade said. "And then I said to myself, 'Nah'"

Derrick Rose was a big part of the Chicago's forth quarter comeback, as he finished with 24 points and a game high 12 assists. After struggling with his shot in the first half, Rose was finally able to drive to the basket and destroyed the Wizards defense and freed up his teammates for wide open jumpers.

Chicago also had a big boost from their role players, including sharpshooter Anthony Morrow, who redeemed his 1-10 game 1 performance by scoring 10 points on 4 for 9 shooting in 14 minutes off the bench while center Joakim Noah managed a huge double double of 10 points and a game high 17 rebounds despite playing with a twisted ankle.

"Tremendous effort by Joakim tonight" said Byron Scott "It was just all will and hustle"

The Wizards, on the otherhand, dominated the first three quarters and at one point held a 20 point advantage over Chicago. Once again led by the Arenas - Bosh duo, who both had 20-10 double doubles. Arenas with 27 points and 13 assists. Bosh with 28 points and 10 boards.

Shannon Brown and Josh Howard also stepped up for the Wizards, as the former dropped in 14 points and 6 dimes while the latter had 13 points and 7 rebounds.

However, It was all Chicago down the stretch.

"They just caught fire" said Arenas "It was as though it was a death match for them. They went for all the homerun plays and got them"

For the first time in the series, Chicago attacked the basket at every chance they could get. Led by Rose and Wade, the Bulls scored 42 points in the paint - nearly double of what they had in game 1.

"They just made all those tough drives" Chris Bosh said "Me and Tyrus (Thomas) were up there contesting as we did back in game 1, but they just keep making them and that opened up outside shots for them"

"We're going to have to work on forcing the ball out of their (Rose and Wade) hands and not let them penetrate that easily" the All Star forward added.

The Bulls are now up 2-0 as the series will shift to Washington for games 3 and 4.

Probably the most exciting 2 games i've played all season. Can't believe how good the Wizards are, and even more, can't believe i managed to pull off back to back game winning buzzer beaters (Y)

Wade is just amazing, make sure you get out of the first round with two more buzzer-beaters and win Wade his second ring!

O.K., two buzzers in a row, that is special. The Wizards look very good on paper but that's all as it seems. Playing with Wade is fun, I've been playing around with the Heat lately and despite having LBJ and Bosh, I like Wade the most.

Already tried switching D-Wade on him and even the bigger Deng. Doesn't work.

Wizards are actually pretty tough. I can't seem to sustain a big lead no matter what, they always manage to come back, pull off runs and get right back into it.....

No more miracles from Flash as Wizards take game 3 in Double OT Classic

Image

Washington, DC - Same type of game, different outcome.

It was another classic in game 3 as the Bulls and Wizards went down to the wire. This time however, there was no more magic for the Bulls on the Wizards' home court.

As Wade's desperation heave bounced off the rim and rolled out at the final buzzer, the Washington Wizards take home the 122-119 win in double overtime and avoids being down 0-3 in this best of seven series.

Led by the duo of Arenas and Bosh, who both had monster games of 32 points, 17 assists, 6 rebounds and 35 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists respectively, the Wizards were finally able to make this into a series.

"Our mindset is just to come in and played hard, we definitely did that tonight" said Wizards coach Flip Saunders "We managed to outhustle them and played solid defense, that's what won us this game"

Saunders was right, the Wizards made scrappy plays and was all over the glass, led by former Bull Tyrus Thomas who had a game high 19 rebounds. They also held the Bulls to just 41 percent from the field, a big factor in the win.

Shannon Brown made a major contribution by scoring 20 points, including a spectular reverse layup over Joakim Noah.

But it was all Bosh and Arenas down the stretch.

Arenas managed to send the game into the second overtime period with a layup over Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade with 9.9 remaining, after Bulls' Kyle Korver hit a three to send it into the first overtime with 13.6 remaning. Then Arenas and Bosh continued their stella play in the second OT, eventually knocking down key free throws to seal the deal.

Chicago was led by their backcourt duo of Wade and Rose once again. Wade had 32 points on 11 for 30 shooting while Rose put up a statline of 26 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds. The Bulls had a pleasant contribution from Kyle Korver, who was absolutely on fire and chipped in with 23 points off the bench, shooting 7 for 12 from deep, including the three that sent the game into overtime.

Josh Smith had 12 points and 17 rebounds while Joakim Noah added 7 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks for Chicago. However, sharpshooter Anthony Morrow returned to his slump, shooting just 2 for 9 from the field, most being open looks.

"Tough loss, but we need to put this game behind us and just move forward" said Wade "They are a tough team but I think we have a good shot at winning this series"

In order to win game 4, however, Chicago would need to find ways to stop Washington's superstar duo, and despite adjustments from Byron Scott of putting Wade onto Arenas, Gil has still been able to tear it up with ease.

"He's playing terrific ball right now and we need to do something" said Byron Scott "I don't know how right now, that's something we'll have to figure out by watching tape, but what I do know is he needs to be stopped for us to win this series"

The Bulls are still leading in this series 2-1, game 4 will be back here in the Verizon Center on April the 23rd.
