Anyone wants to put out predictions on how many weeks/months Spoelstra will last before Riley coaches the team again?

Riley canned Van Gundy when they started 11-10 despite having half the roster overhauled. I'd figure if they start 3-2 he's gone.

Then again, can Riley really pull that twice?

If Wade and Bosh wants Riley to. iirc Shaq hated Stan Van Gundy that's why Riley had to step in. Add LeBron wanting Riley to coach, then it's over for Spoelstra.

Wade was pretty adamant that Spoelstra will be their coach, not Riley, regardless if James comes or not.

There's too many Lebron threads so easier just to post in this one. I know it seems like Lebron is going to Heat but I dunno, something still doesn't seem right about it. Perhaps Lebron's crew has released a smokescreen to make tomorrow's announcement all the more shocking & exciting. Until he says he's going to Miami, I won't believe it. I still like Cavs' chances for some reason. I wouldn't rule the others out either.

The thing with going to Miami is it will always been Wade's team in a lot of people's eyes. I don't care if Lebron averages a triple double for the season, I still see it as Wade's Heat. I always thought Lebron's ego was too big to share the spotlight. Maybe he will prove me wrong. Seems too good to be true. I guess I'll just wait & see which way he goes.

It still is. If his ego isn't big now he wouldn't be having an hour of TV just to announce "The Decision".
They even have a title for it, the bastards.

Probably a smart thing to do, not to get caught up in the hypes, but I'm liking our chances now, especially because of Bosh's decision to be with the Heat. Two of the best in the league, who are also great friends of Lebron, basically took a step forward to be with each other. It only makes easier on Lebron to swallow the ego and become the part of the great success to come, while every game will be fun without anybody fucking his mother this time.

Heartwise, fans like me will always support career Heat player like Wade, but part of reason, fans supporting Wade is his humbleness and willingness to sacrifise. If Lebron comes, Wade will definitely focus on the winning, rather than trying to out-play a teammate. Lebron I think knows Wade and Bosh are that kind of guys, who are only about winning and having fun while building a great friendship. I am hoping that counts more than us fans to Lebron.

Yeah, I think Riles is slick enough. If the team struggles under Spoelstra then there's that card to play, or the fact he's the guy that pulled off the coup and brought in two major free agents while retaining their own marquee player. And of course if they win games and look like title contenders, it'll trump the criticism for the most part and it will soon be forgotten.

This is a fair point, there's been a lot of guarantees that LeBron (or another player) is going here or there and we've had to take all those reports with a grain of salt, so it might not be a foregone conclusion. However, we're starting to get confirmed reports of deals that have been agreed upon including a couple involving the Heat, so it's easy to put more stock in the LeBron to Miami rumours at the moment.

I do agree with the X it is a smokescreen to see the fans and nba reaction to this rumor. Pretty sure he will be back in cav uniform or maybe NY (Chris Paul maybe told him he will join next year - trade- or via free agency)

Jermaine has agreed with the Celtics. Don't know if Rasheed opts to retire or be used as a trade bait.

The Warriors and Knicks have an agreement in place for a sign-and-trade that would send David Lee to Golden State, multiple sources have confirmed.

New York could acquire Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike in the deal.
