Rockets defense wins the game.
Tirieux tries to score by force
November 07, 2010
Brooklyn (AP) -- After having a monstrous game against the Wizards, star rookie Shelton Smith had a different game against the Houston Rockets. Even though he finished 25 points, he still struggles to score over the defensive specialist Shane Battier.
“I just watch some of his games and study his offensive moves, his just a rookie so he still got some weaknesses in him.” Battier said. His offense was also a key part to their victory; he leads the team with 22 points.
Sharpshooter Kevin Martin added 21 points. Rookie Lee Davies obviously struggled to defend Yao Ming who scored 18 points.
Game Notes: NLSC rookie Thierry Tirieux started for the first time in his career. He finished with 7 points and 7 assists but also got 7 turnovers. Aaron Brooks was on the bench because of an injury and only played for a limited time.

November Recap
Team Record: 7-9|Division: 3rd|Conference: 10th
The Brooklyn Ballers went on a good start this month winning their first two games. But after that they went on to lose four straight games and then a couple of more wins and losses to end the month with a 7-9 record.
The newly acquired player Michael Beasley is showing why he deserved to be the no.2 pick in the 2008 draft. Beasley is putting up career highs in scoring (17.4), rebounding (9.1) and in FG% (.500). The 3rd year pro is surely more comfortable with his current team.
But the one really shining on this team is the super rookie Shelton Smith. Currently leading all candidates in ROY award is having a star caliber season. Smith is filling up the whole stat sheet with his 22.2 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 4.7 APG, 1.38 SPG and 2.06 BPG. Some say he is one cocky player but you can't argue with his performance.
The leader of this team Stephon Marbury is still having a decent year and his back-up Derek Fisher having a good year off the bench. Also noteworthy are Kyle Korver and Tony Allen who's doing a great job at their respective roles.
There are some questions about this team though, even if they have great players the team still can't find the right chemistry they need for a great playoff push. Morris Almond is obviously struggling after a great season last year and also Brian Cook apparently doesn't like his minutes going down.
The team have a lots of talented players, it still early in the season but for this team to make the playoffs their problem needs to be fix immediately.
