GameInformer Mag - Be a Pro/EASBA Confirmed

Postby JaoSming on Thu Jun 17, 2010 4:01 am

I got my hands on that Gameinformer magazine and in the article about NBA Elite 11 they mention
To complement the new controls and camera perspective [NHL based North/South camera] NBA Elite is taking a few more pages from the NHL playbook by integrating the Be A Pro mode and the EASBA, a five-versus-five online league.

So with these things confirmed we get some form of CAT and jersey creation and hopefully a long overdue revamp of CAP.
Opinions are my own.

I hope the Be A Pro Mode in Elite is as good as in the FIFA games, but with added depth.

I'm looking at some NHL 11 stuff, and they are going in crazy detail with that game. Since they are competing with thier own titles, you know ELITE is gonna have a lot of similar stuff to NHL and Madden, More NHL tho

Thanks for the heads up. (Y)

Certainly good news for a well-rounded product, though certainly hope that Dynasty Mode (or whatever it's called if it's been renamed) hasn't been left out this year with those additions, along with the new controls and real-time physics. I'm feeling fairly optimistic after that GameSpot Q&A though, hopefully there's been overhauls, additions and improvements top to bottom and we'll get a great game with plenty of replay value, online and offline.

Argghhh!!! (N) I'm hoping that north/south camera is only for the Be A Pro mode. 5-on-5 has to be side on like TV coverage.

Be a Pro mode is probably to see where your player without getting lost in the transition. I played it on NHL 10 and it was alright. . I didn't like sitting on the bench or in the penalty box and not be able to play LOL, it's realistic. . Imagin being an injured player in Be A Pro Mode lol, It'll be frustrating

Agreed but so long as there's a realistic broadcast-style angle in the game to switch to, there's no problem. Hopefully it's the default angle though, I would think so if they're ramping up the ESPN integration but if it's just one setting to toggle then it won't be a disaster.

I'm looking forward to be a pro mode. I got NHL 10 just for it's be a pro mode and I know almost nothing about hockey. Since I enjoyed NHL 10 be a pro mode and I'm not even a hockey fan I can't wait to see what NBA Elite does with it.
