Lakers BoxscoreMinnesota (AP) - Downed by 19 points going to the final quarter, the 5 game winning streak by the Wolves looks like to be in jeopardy. But a huge 4th quarter run made the difference, Minnesota got it's 6 straight wins as they win against the L.A Lakers 100 - 97.
Showing great defense and execution on the offense the Timberwolves open the 4th quarter with a 10-0 run. What's more amazing is that
Andre Iguodala and
John Wall was on the bench the entire 4th quarter. "Those two have been in foul troubles so I send the bench players in the game, I was planning to get them back but the bench got pretty good job." Coach Rambis said.
Ramon Sessions was one of those players who got on fire, he scored all of his 14 points in the final quarter. But that's not all he did, he also got 6 assists and 4 steals to finished the game. "I was just doing my job, bringing some energy off the bench that's my role." Sessions said.
Tayshaun Prince led his team with 22 points.
Besides the spark from the bench players, the team defense is also a big factor. The Wolves outscored the Lakers 39-17. Only three players scored in that quarter.
Will Sit got 4 of his 10 points,
Adam Morrison got 2 of his 8 points and
Kobe Bryant got 11 out of his game high 32 points. In this disappointing loss the L.A team did not accept any interviews.
