coz they both have outside games aswell as inside.
that dont wanna be stuck in the middle all the time, especially KG who likes to do some playmaking.

and coz there games(well KG mostly) dont match a centres type of game.

doesn't look right seeing KG go up vs. Yao Ming or Shaq..
Tim Duncan, he is a FC, I really think he is more of a center than a Power Forward..you have Power Forwards at 6'8" and going up vs big old 7'0" Duncan is just a mismatch..

I guess it has to do with how the positions are played and who is on there team. Dirk was a Small Forward but has been playing PF and some Center at times.

Ya Duncan's a center.
KG is a SF/PF type.. hes got a post game. and a midrange game...
Not really a center..

Why is Carter listed as a Forward?

As Laddas said, usually it's because of a player's game and style of play. KG is still young and athletic, with exceptional talent for a player his height. He spends much more time at forward than he does at centre, so it wouldn't be right to list him as a centre simply because he's 6'11" (or 7', depending on who you ask) and sometimes plays centre for the Timberwolves.

I read that K.G doesn't wanted to be listed as a centre because it makes sound less versitile or something like that but i think KG doesn't really play any postion in particular so might as well just call him a forward

I think Duncan is a Center but when San Antonio drafted him, Robinson was the starter C in the team, so Duncan had to play PF.

Duncan is a Center. That's what he played at Wake Forest. He switched so he and Robinson could play together. Now he is stuck at that position (not that the Spurs couldn't tell him to play center, but he is a power forward now.)

KG can play any position he needs to. He can play center or point guard. He is at his best as a forward, so that is what he is listed as.
