i think i first came to the nlsc site looking for a lutz's roster update? i'm not even sure. i just remember the site being black and white.

i peroused the forums a little bit then and i remember some classic threads, (edit)people boosting their number of posts threads , people getting pissed at tim, patchers flaming each other about who's stuff is better, and getting flamed for requesting a leon smith player patch

i have a pretty dull story as a lota people here do. last year i got fed up with last years game and decided it was the rosters fault. so i searched for nba live 2003 roster updates and found this site. I downloaded Joe Mimmic's roster patch as it had updated salary and i was very impressed, in fact i remember putting andrew's roster down because his didnt at the time lol.

i didnt start any patching at all till this winter when i released the first salary roster patch out. Soon lotto, ben and many others followed, and having salary as the only real perk in my roster, alongng every1 else doing it i gave up on the roster.

In 2003 i had added the bobcats to my roster by myself so i figured maybe i'd give something like that a try this year in december. That try was the nbdl, which turned out well but not many people have/had interest in it (i'm converting it to a free agent add on now....) and durnig the project i prudly joined the na-store.tk team :) . Since the nbdl patch i've made 2 cyberfaces, which didn't suck too bad, though i deffinately still could use some practice, and have began working on a street add on. I guess i can be considered the first add on patcher as the only other add on i can remember was last years superhero patch by tony, but that was only for the street mod. So yah, thats my exciting adventure in the nba live world  .

I'll be waiting. (Y) Will you be giving Live 2004 a go? I think you'd enjoy it, except that you have to use the left analog stick rather than the D-Pad (and I know you're not a fan of that controller layout ).

Oh, by the way...

It's not everyday a topic like this comes up so i'd like to take this chance to thank Rune.

If it weren't for Rune's tutorial for Live01 face patching i'd never be patching today. :)

Haven't tried Live 2004 yet, Andrew. I might give it a rent, but as you know I'm all thumbs when it comes to that damn analog stick. I pray EA sees the light on this. If not, I'll keep playing Madden & NCAA.

I'll keep playing Madden & NCAA.

Those two games are the only ones I play...I'm assuming NCAA is football? Yay for draft classes! I have Live for PS2 and PC, and while it's good, the football holds my attention better because of the superb dynasty and franchise modes. I like being able to say that hot dogs are $6 and a beer is $7 ;)

I've been a loyal Maddenmaniac for 12 years. This was the first time I tried NCAA(not a big college football fan), and man , was I impressed! The DB A.I. blows Madden's away. A lot of gamers are down on Madden this year, so EA has work to do.[/quote]

My memory is a bit blurry here, but I can recal a few things...

I first got to the site after I got Live 2000 for christmas, I can't recall why/how I got here, but I was amazed.
I never used the roster patches... can't remember why though  All I ever downloaded was the courts and jerseys. COURTS AND JERSEYS BABEY!

I kept visiting the site for 2001. (man that was graphicy great), and by then, all I ever downloaded was jerseys (mainly so that i could have the shoes :))

Then in 2003, after spending hours and hours after looking for the Nike Shox VC silver (I just got them from Eastbay), And since nobody made them, I tried a little myself (mostly trying to change MJ's one, without any luck though  )... That was the gloorius start of my patching career...
Man I was a noob back then remember :) It was nice though, a lot of people was wery helpfull (i comparisment to today), especially Thug (Y)
and as some of you know, I've gotten a lot better today if you compare to my first patch though, the Nike Air Force 1 :)
I'll could post a pic on it, If anyone's intrested

I've been off and on on Madden, but I love all the franchise stuff. Yeah, it sucked for me to go from NCAA DB AI (where you can actually jam the WRs and intercept passes) to the Madden...I give up 50 yards on the ground, and then 300 in the air against mediocre qbs in Madden. I hate tweaking the awareness up, because it affects all the players, but I have to, otherwise I'll get burnt for 500 yards, and that's even playing a 3 deep zone in the quarter...

back then.....

Postby streakshooter on Sun Feb 08, 2004 2:16 am

like the others, sometime July of 2000 (i think) i was looking for updated rosters for my Live 2001 with Yahoo! and the search brought up NLSC.

clicked here and there, then thought i'd get a few tips on making the game more challenging by signing up with the forum.

The forum made me look crazy then coz people pass by my station and find me either smiling or laughing all by myself in front of the monitor. the posts were funny, spontaneous, witty.

Ben was so much helpful then, there was Mike D, Shane and Cocobee and those Australian guys (i forgot their names but they're sorely missed...) who knew how to have fun in the forum.

Thug was already a bully then and was always fighting with everyone. Jeffx had his rosters for the PSX1 which was very helpful then.

there was even this insane guy who registered as Michael Jackson and never failed to get the boot time but not before getting harangued by the forum's mainstays. he kept on re-registering until probably he ran out of Michael Jackson acronyms.

I remember that... I even had a conversation with him... In the "Intellectual Thread"... That guy left a sweet memorie in Stevan too... Stevan always recalls of him in our MSN convos...

Well, I think I first got into this site in 1998 or something... I had all Lives, except 99 and 2000, when I lost interested in the game... But I remember I didn't like Live 96, 97 and 98... I just kept playing the 95 one... So I recall, once, I typed "Nba Live 95" on some search engine to see which results it would give... and it directed me to NLSC... So I downloaded the rosters and it was all... I kept comin' back to the site but just to download rosters updates... I don't think there were that many, too...

Then, when I got Live 2001, one day I remembered about this great site... I came here to download some roster updates... And I wanted to see if I could get a way to update Steve Nash... So I went to the forum and requested it... Guys spanked me. :D

It was in September / October 2001... It was a little after 9/11... Then I just kept comin' back and back and back... And here I am today.

Great place, btw. (Y)

I was looking for a Michael Jordan patch for live 98 to replace "Roster Player" on the bulls team and found NLSC and saw all those cool patches people made and i got hooked onto editing the game, though, i never really released any patches. That was back when the site was all black and frames. I remember about a few weeks after I found this site, Andrew started to run the show.

I know this is a month late, but shut up.

I came here a long time ago, dunno when exactly... i remember having Live 98 at the time. Started fighting with pretty much anything that moved, and ended up friends with a large percentage of them... my favourite threads were the I cannot believe... (parts 1 and 2... 3 was missing something)... and that thread on the Live 95 boards i think it was, when the appearance of a girl on the forum set everyone off. It was kinda funny. I also remember when Tales first started posting, and we all thought he was a wanker cause he'd do like 200 posts a day with just LOL :D in them. Erm, oh and I think it was Pavel who claimed Manchester United as his favourite team in 2000, then when asked who played for them he named the team they had in 98. Hmm, that was a while ago. I still think the Australia vs USA trend that was going was brilliant though
