It's kinda the opposite imo. Luc Mbah a Moute has been pretty impressive at PF lately, and Ersan Ilyasova is better than Warrick so that made him expendable, whereas Kurt Thomas is the only remotely competent back-up to Bogut... and Joe Alexander is absolute garbage. He's averaging like 8ppg on 42% shooting in the D-League or something like that. Most Bucks fans would prefer to lose Warrick over Thomas.

I like it about as much as the other deal. Either way they're expiring contracts, which would appear to be more important to the Bulls than the short term impact on the roster.

as Lamrock said in the other thread... Hakim Warrick is an older tyrus thomas. though i don't think Hakim would go after VDN postgame and call him a muthaf*cka

Warrick can at least hit an outside shot more consistently then thomas. guess that's a positive. let the Taj Gibson era live on

LoL Warrick is a different player from Thomas
Warrick has an average outside shot, but Thomas has a lot more strength and hops
Although they both at times lapse at defense, Thomas is the better stealer and blocker

lol geez do you really want to split hairs on this one?!

both are lanky, athletic players with no true position. run/jump guys then basketball iq/skills. yes, there are some differences. but c'mon...

their career PER's are almost exactly identical: 15.5 and 15.7

Warrick has the basketball IQ of a peanut but is ultra athletic and sometimes can hit mid-range J's. His entire game is either hoping he gets hot on his endless pull-up J's or put-backs. He is difficult to watch and is possibly mentally defective.

lol sounds like the scouting report of Tyrus Thomas

after watching a few games, it seems that Warrick is lankier then Thomas but for some reason he's not using that to get into passing lanes/blocking shots. though there was one play last nite where he had a post up by the basket.. it looked like he was going to use a jump hook in traffic but instead just dunked it due to his long reach lol

My favourite Hakim Warrick thing is where he takes off from like 10 feet away from the basket then doesn't know what to do when he realizes he's not close enough to dunk. Somehow he always draws fouls from it but in Milwaukee the ball would end up flying over the backboard most the time. It's pretty entertaining.

Bucks have won 11 of their last 12, last three wins were over Cleveland (minus LeBron), Boston and Utah. Next three are against Indiana, Clippers and Sacramento so it's safe to say they'll have won 14 of their last 15. After that though it's Denver and Atlanta again so that'd be difficult.
