Nba starting five 2005 ps2??? Ive never heard of this game until now but it seems to have freestyle dribbling, signature jumpshots, sig moves, free throw rituals, etc. And one of the commentators is on NBA 2k10 . Some of the animations are jerky but overall the game doesnt look bad to be by Konami. It is said that it was only released in Japan. But this game makes me wonder where did nba 2k get the idea of sig moves and sig jumpshots. Anyways heres a video mix and I hope you guys enjoy. This video is not by me.

yea inside drive is loved by a lot of "sim heads" or people from OS. I want to think that Mike Wang worked on that series before he went to 2k, then Live 10, then back to 2k

This isn't Inside Drive. That was from High Voltage Software for Microsoft with 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004 versions.
This is NBA Starting Five from Konami. And the 2001, 2002 (as ESPN NBA 2Night) and 2003 (NBA Starting Five) versions were released in the U.S.

Never knew espn nba 2night and nba starting five was the same series. But it makes sense now bc espn started sponsoring nba 2k during nba 2k3.

ESPN NBA 2Night 2002 is actually not that bad. The first game and Starting Five I cannot say that about.
Speaking of Konami, NBA In The Zone 2 and NBA In The Zone 98 play better than Live 97 and 98 for what it is worth. In The Zone 99 was the first game with a real dunk contest.
Also NBA Run N Gun and it's SNES port NBA Give n' Go were pretty good for the time.

Those were awesome. I think I still have a saved game with the emulator from my Houston Rockets team.
