Melo's back in action so it looks like he'll at least play a few minutes while starting for the West. I'd say that Dirk will see a considerable amount of time though so he could well become another hometown MVP.

Iverson won't be playing due to the personal reasons he's had the last week. Lee will replace him. So Joe Johnson will start? Or Rondo?

Sweet. Just give David Lee the All-Star MVP trophy now

EDIT: Looks like Jason Kidd is replacing Kobe. Definitely wouldn't have been my pick. I thought they might give Monta a run. Source: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgns

At least they got David Lee right. But still snubbed Andrew Bogut. They should replace Kobe with him. I don't care if he's not in the West. :)

If he turns out a performance like he did in the Rookie/Sophomore game a few years back, he's a lock. ;)

Kidd's a surprising choice, I guess the league wanted to go with a familiar face.

Thrilled to see Lee make it, though Smoove deserves a spot too. Kidd's not a good choice, but it least it wasn't Monta

Why Kidd? There's already two point guards on the team.

Maggette having an epic year and getting shafted due to the "no players from losing teams" rule. (Lee gets in under the Knick Exception. Though I can't argue with his selection.)

The spot should have gone to Carl Landry or Carlos Boozer imo.

Apparently Monta got injured. If they needed a guard then choose Tyreke Evans over Jason Kidd. Or as Lamrock said, Carlos Boozer. At least with Evans, he could've played the 2.

Wouldn't surprise me too much if Rondo did get the nod, though naturally I'd like to see Rose start; kind of doubt it happens though. I'm guessing either Durant will start in Kobe's place or they'll slide Melo over and bring Dirk into the starting five.

I think I read somewhere that Joe Johnson and Dirk Nowitzki will be the new starters. West would have one long starting five.

Why would you be mad about the East's best point guard starting?

They'll probably start Johnson due to seniority.
