Portland Acquires Darius Miles

Postby benji on Thu Jan 22, 2004 9:52 am

The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the verge of trading Miles to the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Jeff McInnis and center Ruben Boumtje Boumtje, ESPN's David Aldridge reports.

This might mean Portland will be making another deal soon...

Yup, I knew Miles was going, his role on the team had become basically nothing.

Thats a shame. Oh well, thinks look pretty interesting for cleveland now. Now that portland has d-miles,(I think he is a safety valve now), and I am expecting to see Rasheed get shipped away.

Damn. Cleveland should have made a play at Sheed in that trade.

WOAH! I love trades.

Well, McInnis was having a sook in Portland when Woods got the backup PG posi and mcinnis became 3rd option, so portland probably wont wanna tolerate him anymore. Maybe. Probably not!

I wonder what Miles' role will be in Portland. :o I guess he'll start at SF over Woods.

Wow, now portland have two Athletic-non-shooter guys in Outlaw and Miles.

my team Portland is planning on some thing and they are gona get rid of Sheed before the trade deadline (just like how New York traded Spoon for Moochi then they traded for Marbury) Sheed will be gone soon and Portland will become a different team in a couple of weeks

D-miles played like shit in Cavs, but his rookie career wasen't bad at all.
I think he got great potineal (spl?!) to be a good player. He's quite all-around

It's a sensible trade I guess. Miles didn't seem to be part of Cleveland's plans and the Blazers can afford to give up McInnis and Boumtje-Boumtje. It's not one of those deals that turns a team around though - at least on paper.

i think rumour has it that sheed might be heading to the knicks for a possible trade with Thomas. That would be great for the knicks and the east. The Knicks get a all star pf to add to their ever growing starting line up and the east get another big man from the west  i just wish sheed was going to boston to hook up with paul pierce and ricky davis!!
