Hey, it worked eighteen times in a row. They were bound to screw us over at some point. ;)

Seeing the car wreck that is the New Jersey Nets might not still be over, they can still lose 15 consecutive losses after their first win.

You make a good point, unfortunately Jae just didn't know when to pick 'em. :P I'm going to have trouble with 3 of their next 4 games now that I know that they can win, most likely I'll just stick to tipping them to lose though, today was a fluke.

I reckon it'll remain a safe bet through most of the season. At the risk of having to eat my words, I doubt they'll follow up the worst start ever with the most amazing turnaround after a bad start that we've ever seen.

I thought it was going to take a great game from Devin, but surprised to see how Lopez came out big while Harris struggled in the win. Not sure about Harris making a key play to help them win but his poor shooting percentage looks ugly.

I was kind of right, only off by one win.

Lopez averaging nearly 20-10 already as a sopho. I wonder if he can keep this up on a good team where he's likely get less possessions to work with.

Perhaps not 20 and 10 every night, but seems like he's for real so he'd probably get a decent opportunity elsewhere. I'll beat Jeffx to the punch and reiterate that the Knicks made the wrong pick last year.

Danilo Gallinari's stats looks alright though. He's averaging 14/5/1 on the season. What's even better is he got rid of his old, horrible haircut.

His numbers are respectable, but Lopez would still have been the better pick.

Absolutely. There are games this season where he dropped 30 points and 15 rebounds or something similar, which is really impressive. No wonder Lopez is doing much better than Gallinari this season.

Some years they err worse than others, if only because they traded away a couple of lottery picks to the Bulls. The Bulls squandered at least one of those picks though, which should make it a little easier for Knicks fans to stomach.

Watching the Nets now just sort of makes me realize that they're at least going to win 15 games this season, I don't think they'll end up challenging that 9-73 record.

It does seem less likely at this point. 15 wins seems like a decent prediction.

Perhaps it's not so far-fetched after all. They've lost five straight by an average of 16 and are now 2-24.

2-25 and they were down 70-33 to the Raptors at halftime. Lakers are up today so I'd say they're headed for 2-26.

Another loss to Lakers.

Cuban should be happy, seeing how Devin led team is struggling so bad.

I wouldn't put that on Harris alone, but at the moment the Mavericks are probably not dwelling on the trade.

New owner, new city, it seems it's a mess in Jersey. I hope Devin pulls through.

The Nets new owner releases money like water in a firehose. 2-3 years the Nets will probably buy the best players available like what the Yankees do in baseball or when Mark Cuban took over the Mavs, but without the overbearing, micro-managing owner type like Cuban is. Damn the salary cap.

The Knicks become the Nets' third victim this season to make their record 3-29, improving slightly to be on pace for 7.7 wins (let's call it 8). Perhaps they'll scrape a few wins together now and avoid a dubious record setting pace, but they've got some tough games coming up. I still don't think we can rule out 9-73 being beaten just yet.
