Yeah, Budinger has gotten more PT now that Fernandez is out. I really like Salim Stoudamire though. As for the predictions, just follow the template in this post. First recap for the month shouldn't be up until tomorrow or the next day.

He's probably perfect for the Warriors' system. I remember him back at 'Zona. Thought he'd have a more productive NBA career than he has had to date.

|---THE WARRIOR ZONE---|

Warriors Report: March 1-March 7, 2010

March 7, 2010, 11:45 PM - In what was perhaps the best week of the season for the Warriors, we won three straight road games, including one against ninth place Dallas, to improve to 34-28 and tie our season best three-game winning streak. While we are still in eighth, we now have a strong 3.5 game lead over the Mavericks, and are just 1 and 1.5 games behind the Clippers and Nuggets respectively. With West Player Of The Week Steve Nash hitting his stride, we could figure to rise in the coming months. While we opened the month with an overtime hone loss to the Lakers, we managed to beat Atlanta, Miami and Dallas to start the road trip 3-0. So far, all of our games in March have been won by the road team.

Los Angeles Lakers (41-19) 129 @ Golden State (31-28) 122 [OT]

March 1, 2010 - Despite a spirited effort, The Warriors fell 129-122 in overtime to the visiting Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors had a dominant start, winning the first quarter 39-24. Strong defense brought trimmed that lead to single digits by halftime. Despite Kobe Bryant scoring just six points in the second half, the Lakers managed to take a five point lead with forty seconds left. Anthony Morrow hit a clutch three, Andrew Bynum missed a pair of foul shots, and Andris Biedrins sunk a game-tying shot to force overtime. Unfortunately, Bryant scored 7 of his 24 in the OT period, and the Lakers proved too much for the home team in overtime.
Player Of The Game: Pau Gasol (26 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 11-14 FG)
Nelliepoints

1. Nash: 23/5/15
2. Biedrins: 17/10/0
3. Morrow: 18/5/2

Golden State (32-28) 114 @ Atlanta (26-34) 104

March 3, 2010 - A career night from Joe Johnson wasn't enough as the Warriors opened their road trip with a win. Golden State took a 32-25 first quarter lead and was pretty much in control the whole game. While Johnson put up killer numbers, only two of his teammates (Al Horford and Mike Bibby) scored in double-digits. The Warriors, meanwhile, had double digit scoring from all five starters, but nobody scoring over twenty points. The Hawks, who have spent most of the season out of the playoff picture, were in eighth place coming into the game, but fell out again with the defeat.
Player Of The Game: Joe Johnson (41 Points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists)
Nelliepoints:

1. Nash: 18/3/13
2. Randolph: 17/11/3
3. Biedrins: 14/11/2

Golden State (33-28) 126 @ Miami Heat (26-34) 94

March 4, 2010 - In the second of two back-to-backs, the Warriors visited another Southeast Division team, who coincidentally had the same record. Corey "Bad Porn" Maggette had a game-high 27 points in a revenge game of sorts, but it was his former team who had the last laugh. Golden State embarrassed Miami on their own court, defeating them by 32 points after leading 62-43 at halftime. "They just destroyed us. It was hard to watch", remarked sophomore forward Michael Beasley on the loss. Salim Stoudamire scored a season-high 23 points in garbage time.
Player Of The Game: Stephen Jackson (24 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 10-15 FG)
Nelliepoints:

1. Jackson: 24/6/6
2. Nash: 19/4/13
3. Stoudamire: 23/2/4

Golden State (34-28) 114 @ Dallas (31-32) 112

March 6, 2010 - Golden State owns the Mavericks yet again. Led by the Anthonys, the Warriors held off a late run to beat Dallas for their third straight triumph. Anthony Morrow had a season-high 33 points, while Randolph had a gaudy line of 22 and 12. The game was close throughout, but Golden State got the upper-hand late in the game, courtesy of a 13-2 run. With two minutes to go, the score read Golden State 110, Dallas 98. Dirk Nowitzki would score 12 of his 35 in those final two minutes, converting on all of his shots, but it was too little, too late, as the Mavericks simple ran out of time. Up two with 2.2 seconds left, Ricky Rubio outran defenders to run out the clock. The win gave Golden State a 3.5 game lead over the Mavericks for the eighth and final playoff seed in the Western Conference.
Player Of The Game: Anthony Morrow (33 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 12-19 FG, 5-6 3PT)
Nelliepoints:

---Around The NBA---
Image Steve Nash of the Warriors has won the Western Conference Player Of The Week award for the week of March 1-March 7, in which Nash led the Warriors to a 3-1 record, posting averages of 19.8 points per game, 12.3 assists per game and 3.8 rebounds per game. LeBron James won the award for the East, leading Cleveland to a 3-0 record while averaging a triple-double.
Image After losing the first two games since acquiring Richard Hamilton, the Cleveland Cavaliers have won seven straight games, improving to 39-25 and re-establishing themselves as a power in the Eastern Conference. Hamilton is averaging 21.4 points per game on 46% shooting as a Cavalier.
Image Veteran forward Grant Hill has replaced Andrei Kirilenko in the Clippers' starting lineup. "Andrei has been spectacular for us. He will still get the lion's share of the minutes. I just think that his versatility is best suited for a sixth man role,", coach Mike Dunleavy remarked.
Image Raptors shooting guard Tracy McGrady is not expected to resign this offseason. Dealt for Chris Bosh in the offseason, the 30 year old swingman leads the team in scoring with nearly 23 points per game. However, the team seems to be rebuilding around youngsters Trevor Ariza and Andrea Bargnani, and are currently a paltry 27-35. "Toronto's a great city, but I'm getting older and the championship window for me is getting smaller," says the two-time scoring champion.
Image After holding down the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference for most of February, the a five-game losing streak sees Dwyane Wade and the Heat with a 26-35 record, putting them in eleventh place. Wade, a free agent this offseason, said "All this losing is hard to take. I thought that after [2008], we would be back on the right track, but it simply hasn't happened". New Jersey, New York, Chicago and Toronto look like prime candidates to acquire the 28 year old swingman.

Good job on this week. You definitely took a big step with the Mavs now 3.5 games behind. Tough loss against the Lakers though, would have loved to see you owning them.
Nice to see Steve Nash getting the player of the week award. Anthony Morrow seems to play very well for you. I like him, he can score a bunch in a hurry.

Keep it up (Y)

Sit, Yeah. Not worried about missing the playoffs, I own Dallas' pick, adding insult to injury. Hopefully I can keep it up.

Mark., Perhaps. Not sure if Budinger has a future here, I have a shit load of cap, and I'm thinking about shopping Rudy. Thanks for checking in.

hova-, Same here. It would have been huge. Really hope I don't draw them, as I would probably get swept. I was originally going to pad Morrow's stats and trade him, but he has outplayed Rudy on both ends. Shooting guard of the future for sure.

hmmmm the association section is really getting stronger. looks like we both made good investments on sticking around! (Y)

my story has lost a bit of momentum... the break in between end of reg season and start of playoffs has been far too long

Nah. Sent my real first rounder to Portland in the Fernandez trade. (was worth it though, since I managed to dump Maggette and Turiaf for expirings and Rudy) The dynasty sections are resurgent. There was a short-lived explosion of activity here when 2K9 first came out that fizzled fast, but for now it seems the section is at its healthiest since 2006. (Y)

Don't worry about your story. We all know you're good for some updates.

They are coming... but I think I've lost a lot of enthusiasm for the story. I think this could be my last season... I'm not going to keep it going to chase numbers lol I'm not a numbers-guy, I'm a championships-guy. :)

I think you'll get the enthusiasm back. I was about to retire this one, but after a break, I changed up a few things and got this thing back on track. You better finish yours. I want my rookie! If not, at least live up to your billing and win a championship

So you're having Dallas' pick and Portland has yours? I guess that's not bad as I expect you to rise in the rankings with Nash and Morrow playing so well. One thing I forgot to ask and don't want to look up as I'm lazy as shit, you start using 2k10 in the Playoffs or next season?

As you may or may not have noticed, this has been a glorified sim dynasty for the last few weeks. I'll continue to post recaps for this like normal, but I've also been playing a Clippers association offline on the side, and I was wondering if anybody would be interested in it. I made a couple deals to get a couple of my favorite young players, and am almost caught up with the real-life schedule.

So should I made a thread about it or keep it offline and focus all my presentation efforts on this?

The Clippers are a very cool team imho. I read an interview with Al Thornton and Baron Davis lately and I like these guys a lot. And one huge factor is Blake Griffin. Adding the fact that you have one of the best post defenders and rebounders in Camby, this team could be a decent playoff contender.

I don't know how you wanna handle it. I think if you make another thread you will get caught by one of these two Ds (the new one more likely) and then drop the other one. But as long as you have fun with it that would be okay imho.

It's your choice, but you'd have a follower for sure (Y)
