Nets sign former Lakers Brown, Fisher

The New Jersey Nets have successfully inked Free Agent guards Shannon
Brown and Derek Fisher to contracts, and both are now officially a New
Jersey Net.
Brown is reported to have signed a multiyear deal which would pay him
approximatly 15.70 Million dollars over 4 years, with the 4th year being
a team option. While Derek Fisher will be signed for 2 years for a reported
5.39 Million dollars, with the second year being a player option.
"We are pleased to be able to add players that has the talent and experience
in both Shannon and Derek." said Kukoc "Shannon is a rising star in this
league with tremendous athletic ability while Derek is a proven veteran, one
of the most clutch players in the history of the game. They combine for a total

Camby joins Dirk, Kidd in Dallas08/03/10

The Dallas Mavericks have announced the signing of former
defensive player of the year Marcus Camby to a multiyear
deal, per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Mavericks, who lost Shaquille O'Neal to retirement, now gets
a proven defensive powerhouse in Camby, who, despite his ancient
age of 36, is still one of the premier defensive bigman in the NBA
today.
Hawks come to terms with Jermaine O'Neal08/08/10

The Atlanta Hawks have announced the signing of former all-star
Jermaine O'Neal to a multiyear deal, per team policy, terms of the
deal were not disclosed.
O'Neal (31) is playing in his 15th year in the NBA, a six time all-star,
and former most improved player, he led the Indiana Pacers to the
Playoffs six times, including the Conference Finals in the 2003–04
season. He was traded to the Raptors before the 2008–09 season
began, and traded to the Heat during the same season.

Boozer heads to Detroit 08/09/10

The Detroit Pistons have announced the signing of free agent forward
Carlos Boozer to a multiyear deal, per team policy, terms of the deal
were not disclosed, however, it is believed to be very near a max deal.
Boozer, a 6'8" power forward out of Duke, last played for the Utah Jazz,
in which he had been selected on two all-star teams, been on the all-nba
third team in 08, and selected and won both a bronze and gold medal for
the USA National team in the Summer Olympics. ('04 and '08 games).
Turkoglu join forces with Lebron in Cleveland08/10/10

Turkish forward Hedo Turkoglu has accepted a 4 year, 34.68M offer
from the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources told ESPN.com.
A 6'10" forward and former most improved player of the year, Turkoglu
had found success while playing for the Orlando Magic between the years
2004 to 2009, in which he was a part of the Magic's successful run to the
NBA Finals before losing in 5 games to the Los Angeles Lakers in the
championship round.
Prior to this offseason, Turkoglu had enjoyed brief stints with the New
Jersey Nets and the Chicago Bulls.
McGrady signs with Heat, forms Big Four in Miami08/12/10

The Miami Heat has come to terms with former Rockets star Tracy McGrady
and has signed him to a multiyear deal, President of basketball operations
Pat Riley announced this morning.
McGrady, former all-star and scoring champion, will join forces with Dwyane
Wade, Michael Beasley, as well as second overall pick Hakeem Bol in Miami to
form a Big Four. This is expected to propel Miami's status all the way up to the
upper echelons of the NBA.
T-Mac averaged 22.5 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.4 apg, 1.2 spg last season. Whats more
important is, McGrady played in all 82 games last season, something that has
not occurred in his 14 year career. T-Mac and the Rockets went to the Western
Conference Finals last season before losing to the eventual champions New Orleans
Hornets in 6 games.
With this move, Pat Riley had himself worthy to challenge Mitch Kupchak's nomination
spot for executive of the
decade.
Ray Allen signs multiyear deal with New Jersey08/12/10

Former Celtics guard Ray Allen has come to terms with the New Jersey Nets
for a 3 year deal that is worth approximately 18 million dollars. A source
close to the Nets reported.
The Deal would pay Allen approximately 5 million dollars each season, with the
third year (a reported 6.5 Million dollars) being a team option.
Allen (35) is in his 15th season in the NBA, he is one of the all time greatest
shooters in NBA History, having a total of 2482 three pointers made over his
career, trailing only Reggie Miller's career total of 2560. Allen was a huge part
of the 2008 Boston Celtics team that captured the title after a 6 game finals
series with the LA Lakers.
