I always feel awful when a young player has such horrible luck with injuries. Greg was putting up some good numbers too. It just reminds me of what happened to Shaun Livingston. I hope Oden doesn't go down that path, but it's not looking good.
Extremely unfortunate with the promise he was showing this season. It also plays right into the Blazers' history of oft-injured centres, a stereotype I was hoping he'd avoid despite a rough start with the knee surgery and then assorted unlucky injuries last year. Kind of a freak injury though.
This was the thing that Blazers' fans feared the most when picking Oden over Durant & it's coming into fruition. Am guessing Blazers now deal Miller to get a backup centre for Przybilla.
Oh man, not Oden, definitely not what Portland need. This really upsetting to hear, I was excited for the Blazers because they were going to have a good year, but injury to a player like Oden really spells trouble.
Orlando Magic Fantasy Association I prefer to contribute to other user's stories than spend time on my own, sorry if updates are far between.
The reaction of the other players says it all. Roy didn't know whether to look or cover his eyes, while Aldridge just covered his mouth, and the Houston bench, ugh.

True, I didn't notice that the first couple of times I watched it. It's hard to tell if it happened on the way up or the way down; looks like he came to a bit of an awkward stop before going up for the block so it probably happened then, made worse by the fact he then had to land on it.
That's a shame. He was really doing well this season except some ridiculous calls by the refs (and some bad fouls as well). I still do not want to compare him to Bowie or lable him a bust. It's 25 years since that time. The whole medical stuff and physiotherapeuts have improved so much, you can not write him off. His body will be able to recover. And he seems to be a fighter. The times of players like Bowie who totally **** up their legs are over. You see Grant Hill coming back etc.. I hope he will turn out to be the player everybody expected him to be although it will be hard.
I'm not a fan of his, but I hate to see something like that. 82 career games, Durant has nearly a 100 more. When they came, I though Durant wouldn't do well with his thin, lanky frame, but I was way off.
This is terrible. I feel really bad and sorry for him. At first glance the collision didn't look like a big deal at all, it definitely doesn't look hard enough to fracture his patella but the way he was screaming on the floor in pain was really heart breaking to watch.
I think Brook's knee hit Oden's knee while both of them was up in the air. I think Brook's knee hit Oden's just in the right spot, that's why he fractured it from a collision that small.
This is a major let down for Oden and Blazers. More than injury itself, improvement at this stage was critical as he could adapt new things naturally at his age. Secondly, this could affect confidence of Oden in big ways. He seemed to have his confidence going as he was really being assertive in the games, but this kind of injury caused by small collision always affect player's aggressiveness when worried of. His comeback is still a long way to go, but I wish we will someday see the best of Oden...
A major let down... I'm just F-ing disappointed even though I am not much of Blazer fan.
