PC Version Pipe Dream

Was just thinking about college sports titles & the more I thought about it, the more it did my head in. How good would a PC version of CH2k8 or NCAA 2010 be?

Just imagine the sheer amount of cyberfaces that people could do, updating uniforms, mascots, cheerleaders, crowds, putting real live chants in, it would be insane the amount of modding that could be done. I also think renaming and re-rating rosters would be a lot quicker on PC using editors. The more I think about it, the more it seems to me that college sports titles (at least from a modding perspective) make so much more sense on the PC. I understand that the game's target market is 18-22 year old male college students, many of whom are more likely to have consoles. But given the big drop in prices of laptops & PC's, don't a lot more college students have them these days?

Ahh well, one can dream I guess :P

EDIT: I'm sure EA use to release NCAA Football on PC, as I recall playing it many years back. Might have been late 90's or earlier this decade.

That's been something I've been hoping for but not because I'm an NCAA fan (I probably watched like 10 games in my entire life) but I want to mod it for our local leagues.

It would probably also be a more appropriate base for Euroleague patches given the style of game and distance of the 3pt line

What I meant were local college leagues. Better for the recruitment system, graduation and all that.

I'm all for PC releases; NBA Live, NCAA and pretty much any other title you could name that I'd possibly have interest in (and even those that I don't; after all, it's not all about what I want). All but essential for the modding communities, great for "story" threads and it'd also be handy for those of us that need to import titles from overseas. ;)
