so i figured something out about why i havent liked episodes lately

Instead of having events/conflicts last and have longterm character developing repercussions the show has started being like that friend of mine that will tell people what they wanna hear rather than doing any real conflict solving

Still waiting on this to be cancelled. Why people would want to work in an office with people all day, come home and watch some more people in an office is beyond me.

Posting my opinion on this show has given me an opportunity to vent some frustration. So yeah, it has.

you still dont understand satire do you al ka pwn? People like to watch things they can relate to: hence the success of all long running sitcoms. King of the Hill was much better due to the fact I live in the south and have met at least 1 person like each character in the show. Sure some are exaggerated (Simpsons) but without empathy/relatability of characters shows fail. Putting them in familiar situations helps the relatability and gives opportunities for observational humor.

I still don't get how the office uk can be hilarious and once it's done by Americans it's cringe worthy. Maybe cringe worthy is entertaining to some people, but I don't find it funny. And, hi Gonzo. By the way, your nose looks like a penis.

What'd you guys think of the last few episodes?? I've been enjoying this season so far, while watching all the old episodes I missed on TBS and internet site's.

The best thing about the season so far was Creed crying to the music.

Season has been horrible. Not a single episode that wasn't subpar. The one with the Italian insurance salesman was the worst ever. The show's fucking done.

That cracked me up, also Jim swearing and getting beeped.

Gossip - decent
The Meeting - decent
The Promotion - decent
Niagra - fantastic
Mafia - shit
The Lover - good

I've enjoyed it. Not as much as other seasons but Niagra was a double episode and one of my favourites of all time so it definitely makes up for a lot of things. Mafia was terrible but still had some moments, mostly involving Andy.

And I still can't believe how many people out there find The Office UK, or British humor in general, to be funny at all. Seriously, the British have got to be the most bland, unentertaining people on Earth.

I don't mean to sound racist, but I can't watch british shows.. The accent is so hard to understand and I have to keep rewinding it. It's not easy on my ear's, probably cause I'm not british?

I think it's more the fact that they've got horrible accents.

Last episode was horrible. I hated it. Only part I remotely laughed at was in the end when Michael's life flashed before his eyes.

I liked it more than the previous one actually. But yeah, it wasn't that great, the Dwight-Andy gag got weak after a while, and they keep pushing the envelope more than ever with Michael's behavior, to the point that it really feels forced.

Just watched it on Hulu. I almost liked the episode before it, but this one sucks. Did they fire all their good writers? All the Dwight/Andy storylines have always sucked, Pam/Jim are boring and borderline unlikeable and Michael Scott is such an inconsistent and poorly written character. Why do I still watch it?

Didn't like it either.
Creed's scenes is the only thing that keeps this show alive for me.

Almost all of them have been good. People are just trying too hard to psycho-analyze the show and turn it into something it's not. Like that Family Guy thread. If it was as bad as everyone made out they'd stop watching.

Yeah if I had the choice I'd just watch them all in one go, the only negative is that empty feeling once you've finished the last episode and know you can't get more :(

I thought Michael bailed out of this one somewhat effectively. Didn't save it from a lot of a "it's gone from awkward to mean" criticism. Non-Michael stuff was great though, Jim is so in over his head and that's something they've done since season two. Don't get why people think that's new.

I do agree with parts of that criticism though. They don't seem to think about the "how to get Michael, etc. out of this situation" as much as they do think up the situations to put them in.
