No, at least not the rosters. NBA Live 08 rosters will not work for NBA Live 06 without the databases being properly converted and various attributes fixed up. Most art should be compatible though.

Sure, as long as someone has a copy of it and has the time and inclination. Unfortunately I can't help you there as I don't have a copy of RR8.
