He's dunking all the time because of the Phoenix Suns' System .
I wonder what he can do in a Half-Court Set Team .

He can do (and does) the same in thing in isolation set, so that shouldn't be the problem. He has very good midrange J, so he would use that more often as well.

If I see Amare' in a T-Wolves Uniform , I expect to see a lot of Isolation Sets for him .

MikeMan™, Stop hating Amar'e, when he is healthy, there is are only 1 or 2 Forwards in the league that can stop him Offensively. In some games I watched he even cared a shit and contested shots.

I'm not hating on Amare' , it's just IMO Big Al is overall much better than Amare' .

- Amare's is just more media-hyped that's why you guys say he's better than Big Al .
- Big Al plays for Minnesota that's why you people don't know him .

I'm pretty sure a Forum of NBA fans know who Al Jefferson is and have some awareness of his abilities, regardless of him playing for a basement team.

You can't compare the two, and say who is better. IMO, Amare is a dunker, pick and roll player and had a lot of success in Phoenix with Steve Nash, and the Run and Gun style. Jefferson entered the league after Amare, and his numbers are certainly not as good as Amare's but he has more room for improvement and potential than Amare. You just can't compare the two, because they entered the league separately and Amare has played with a MVP in Steve Nash. Jefferson at this point of his career is not up to the level with Amare's skill level yet. You'd never know if Jefferson will get better than Amare though.

We CAN compare them. It's obviusly that Amar'e had a better core than Jefferson, but Al developed into a great player withouth somebody who feeds him or who can led the team alongside him.

He played with Pierce... name another... Mike Miller?

Jefferson is a better rebounder but comparing to Stat, he's a good scoring option, not as best as Amar'e but he can score 20 points a game. Now imagine him alongside Nash who can feed almost everybody in the court, he will rise up those numbers for sure

Who do you think you are - ESPN analyst or what? In your opinion, most people here don't know a thing about basketball. Jefferson plays for Minnesota, that's why he can get those stats. And if you don't like some player, is he media hyped?

No I like Amare' , and yes he is more media-hyped .
The 2005-2008 Phoenix Suns were the most entertaining team to watch during those years .
He plays with the Canadian dude so somewhat he catches some of the spotlight intended for Stevie Nash .
and yeah , he dunks all the time .

It's like who's better to watch Tim ? or Kemp ?
and honestly , I didn't know anything about Big Al before , til I got my NBA Live DVD .

The Media focuses more on players who's more exciting to watch .

Jefferson is on a team where he's the only reliable scorer. He does a lot more than he should. Put Amare on a team where there's no help from other guys, and only then you can start talking about him being overrated. The same thing with 05/06 Kobe and 08/09 Kobe.

Amare' is not a reliable scorer .
No-Post Up Game .
No Moves What so ever . etc . . .

How can you be a reliable scorer when all you can do is pick n roll ?

shadowgrin I'm not motivated , I need something to motivate me to do that . . .

Not really. He has a shooting range, about 15-18 feet, so don't say that he only scores on pick and roll situations.

Watch him more before you say that he's not reliable scorer - FT attempts per game, FG % etc. Yes, he doesn't have any post up game. So what? There is no move that's more reliable than a dunk. Would you tell Shaq in his prime to start shooting 3's? He doesn't need all that stuff, since it's enough with his athleticism and one play. He still can't be stopped. So why bother doing something else?
