Let me clear somethings up.
I mean when the game is running. Of course that if you throw the ball against another player with the game stopped that's an aggression. Flagrant 2, ejection, suspension bla bla bla.
When the game is running it is not a foul to throw the ball against another player at least to try to save the ball from going out of bounds.
What if the ball is not going out of bounds and the player throws it against an opponent's leg? And against his face?
If how hard the ball is thrown is a factor to which it is a foul or not it shouldnt be like that. So if they do it like in street ball with the ball lightly touching the other guys forehead it should be a foul, otherwise i should be able to throw it as hard as i can because strength is relative, refs wouldn't be able to mesure it in a fair way.
So what i get from your responses is that intentionally throwing the ball against an opponents face while the game is running is a flagrant foul, but if it isn't, players should be doing it until the rule is changed/created.
And for those who said that it would make the player the biggest bitch in the history of the sport, isn't it also bitchy to foul other players an the end of the game and sometimes end of quarter to make them go to the free throw line? No, it isn't they are just taking advantage of the rules to try to win. That is called playing the game. Breaking the rule pays off. It's like saying i would only get a 1 dolar fine everytime i got caught robbing a bank.
That is why i think that many of those intentional fouls are flagrant fouls, you can't just go and grab the guy you have to go for the ball. Like the hack a shaq or hack a wallace or hack whatever you want, when you deliberatly foul a guy that doesn't even has the ball or for a mather of fact is not going for the ball or even looking at it,how is that not a flagrant foul?
