When I was younger I used to try different styles of shooting along with different nba players' free throw shooting styles. Surprisingly, Bill Cartwright's freethrow style was money for me.

I know what you mean. My cousin and I would shoot around a lot when we were younger and he'd come down to stay with us for the school holidays. At some point we'd start imitating Shaq's form or Anthony Mason's form and invariably (and disturbingly) knocking down shot after shot, as uncomfortable and awkward as those forms were.

I believe he still shoots freethrow the way he used to, he didn't attempt a lot of freethrows this season due to his decreased in playing time so we didn't get to see a lot of it.

Rick Barry is out of the discussion since he averages almost 90% on his foul shots.


Mind you, Desmond Mason's freethrows are terrible, too.
