Oh well. We'll patch the old and do what we can for the new. Some official tools would be nice.

can EA at least give us some official reasons for not making a PC version.

Next year we will be saying again the same?
Currently, HB Studios is finishing the Wii and DS versions of Rock Revolution, and has completed PC and PlayStation 2 ports of NBA Live 09 and NHL 09.

Released in October 2007 on PS2 and PC and over a million units sold.
Both Moore and EA CEO John Riccitiello stressed that the company is not concerned as sales have remained consistent.
Peter Moore wrote:We are retooling these titles [on the PC] to take advantage of the online connectivity in a bigger and more meaningful way," Moore said today, noting that EA's usual sports offerings--Madden, NCAA Football, NBA Live, etc.--will reappear on PC in 2009.

They didn't develop it. A 3rd party studio called HB Studios did it.

Blaming it on piracy isn't even a legit reason by itself. Executives in most business organizations have studied risk managment, piracy is a risk, apply it. Besides, instead of thinking piracy as a culprit, they should treat it as competition and think of ways on how the consumer will be persuaded to buy the original instead of getting a pirated one.

What does this means? Does it mean that HB studio have converted Live 09 into a PC port?
