Nice to see a kings Association...

Get a pass-first point guard. Jason Thompson, Kevin Martin and Kevin Love should be your building blocks...

Kevin Love? This ain't the Wolves :P You should trade Garcia, and start Nocioni.

Francisco Garcia and Rashad McCants head West

SACRAMENTO, CA, July 10, 2009 -- If the NBA Draft wasn't interesting enough, now it will be. The Kings have acquired the fourth overall pick from the Blazers in exchange for Francisco Garcia, Rashad McCants and the 1st Round Pick of Year 2010.

I meant spencer hawes lol.

with the 4th overall pick you should have no problem acquiring a high profile point guard. good job. personally i love mccants, but you gotta give some to get some..

Wow, maybe you'll get lucky and land both Rubio and Griffin :D I'm not really high on Rubio, but he's a good player.

Rubio-K-Mart-Noc-Griffin-Thompson/Hawes looks very promising. :)

I don't like Rubio..
I hope for Jennings, but let's see what the future brings to me

With Thomas, Thompson and Simmons I got 3 PFs, but with K-Mart only one SG.
And because of this I'm thinking about DeRozan :D

Motiejunas is a 2010 prospect, and Griffin's ratings should be 5-6 overall higher than the rest, as this is sorta like the 1997 (Duncan) draft. Good luck with this. Since its the Kings, you'll need it.

GAME RECAP

Image

The Sacramento Kings beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 109 to 107 in a very dramatic season opener. The first quarter was like a fight between Rubio and Jennings, it was like Rubio scores, Jennings scores, Rubio assist, Jennings assist.. But in the second quarter Jennings couldn't connect on his 1st quarter performance and Rubio was still hot. After the 1st half the Kings led with 2 points but then it was Kevin Martin's moment he scored 18 of his 33 points in the 3rd quarter and also added 2 rebounds and one assist to give them a 4 points lead. After some struggle in the 4th quarter and easy fast-break points for the T'Wolves Donte Greene was changed in and made 7 points in a row to even the score. At the score of 109 to 107 and 22 seconds left the T'Wolves had an last opportunity to even the score but Al Jefferson missed the last shot attempt.

The King's rookies Brandon Jennings and Blake Griffin made a good performance in their NBA Debut. Jennings made 9 points and added 3 rebounds, 5 assists and one steal but went on 4-10 from the field. Griffin made 10 points, 4 rebounds and one assist with a 5-7 shooting from the field.

Key Performers:

  • Kevin Martin finished with 33 points, 4 rebounds and one assist.
  • Jason Thompson played a nice game with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
  • Al Jefferson recorded a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebeounds.
  • Ricky Rubio recorded a double-double too with 11 points and 14 assists.

EDIT : Ups, my bad..
I doubt Rubio will be like this in his NBA debut :D

This looks great, love that Donte Greene sees some minutes. Perhaps next time add pictures of the box score, a little bigger then the game-photos. Right now can't really understand the team stats.

GAME RECAP

Image

The Sacramento Kings won their second straight game. As they beat the Heat 101-69. Sacramento started the game with a 8-0 run and could save a 29-17 lead after the first quarter with good defense. The second quarter was like the first one. The Kings played their game and the Heat couldn't stop them. Especially Blake Griffin, who had a double-double after the two first quarters with 14 points and 10 rebounds, played very well. At the half the Kings led by 29. In the second half the Heat waked up, but they played not well enough to decrease the difference. Only Michael Beasley and James Jones tried to make some points but it didn't help. Even Dwayne Wayde played bad. After 8 points in the first half he finished the game with 11 points and 4-21 from the field. After the third quarter Coach Reggie Theus brought in his bench players because he knew that they could take the win home. And so the Sacramento Kings won their second straight game.

Key Performers:

  • Blake Griffin finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block
  • Jason Thompson played again a nice game and recorded a double-double with 17 points an 11 rebounds
  • Michael Beasley finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds
  • James Jones had 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals
