Well I guess I shouldn't complain about the rainy summer here in Auckland because of the extreme heat there in Aussie.

Internet outage again.....third time this winter. This time i guess most the state was out, along with NH.

Evidently someone in Boston didn't call dig safe and destroyed a fiber line. Outages in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

So a few months ago, I quit my job and after re-evaluating the situation, I decided to apply for university. Today I got offered my first preference

About the job: I quit because of a number of reasons. The main one being that they were making us work 12 hour shifts without a designated break, which is against pretty much every OH&S law in the country. They had a policy where we "eat while we run", which meant that our meal breaks were to be taken while you were working. I was basically a labourer, which meant I had to be several places at once, and during my shifts, I pretty much couldn't get time to eat anything. Along with a bunch of other reasons, the job was creating more stress than it was worth, so I ended up quitting.

But hey, everything has worked out for the best

Bachelor of Creative Industries at QUT. I'm not entirely sure what strand I'm going to end up majoring in, but the first year is just doing the broad degree from my understanding. I have an interest in both sports and music writing, so at some point I'll have to make a choice between those two.

Met up with some friends today to play some four on four over at the uni. It's been a while but I really enjoyed it, it was great to get back out on the court again and play a few games. Took a few minutes to shake off the rust though.

I work in a call center, and our client just decided not to renew our account, essentially putting 16-17 people to unemployment. I have until the end of March to find a different position with another program in the same call center, after that I'm fucked. Fantastic start of the new year.

That sucks. Especially after you've been killing yourself doing 60 hour weeks. Such is life. They've probably sent the call centre to India, that's what they've done over here. You either get automated computer or India. At times I don't know what is worse.

In the midst of my first all-nighter (for studying purposes)- not even sure if I'm getting all this work done by 11:00 tomorrow morning. All of a sudden, three different instructors decide to give insanely long assignments on the same day at very short notice. This doesn't even feel like the second week of classes.

Prepare now because every single scumbag professor you have will decide that a select two weeks (if not one week) are where you need to do every single important paper or assignment and don't worry, you won't do them before, neither will anyone else and they know this. They get off on it. They might even throw you an exam.
