I was a bit surprised how quickly I adapted to the Xbox 360 controller and how much I liked it, being used to the PS2 controller (and a very similar dual analog PC gamepad) I thought I might find it awkward.

I'd agree with you on that point....when I first got a 360, I thought the controller would be awkward, but I found it very intuitive, comfortable & a lot better than PS2....

Second hand might be the way to go. I'm not sure about the 'different models' of 360s out there... what do you have?

Which EB is he at? And yeah, it would be good if you could help me and try and get me hooked up with a deal in the next few months. :)

I've got the Xbox 360 Pro, though I'd probably go for an Elite if I was buying one now.

That sucks, sorry to hear it. At least you've got a lot of company there.

Sit: both are great choices really (y) I very much doubt that you'll be disappointed with either.
It could help you decide if you have a look at the games, see if there is any games that aren't available on either console that you'd really want. Try out the systems and it's controllers in a store or at a friends' house and see which one you're most comfortable with. Etc. etc. A large part of it is personal preference.

Blu-Ray at 1x reads at like 36 Mb/s, while DVD at 1x is something like 11 Mb/s. So while the 12x DVD drive in the 360 is faster than the 2x PS3 Blu-Ray drive (and faster than the 8x DVD speed for PS3) Blu-ray is in no way slower at the same speed.
From what I've heard, BlueRay discs also have a constant speed, while DVD's get slower the futher from the center it gets..
