Its up about 3.6 million from last year.

The thing that amazes me looking at that chart is how the average salary has skyrocketed over the years (over 5 million), when in the 80's 5 million was the cap number.

Good news for teams that are hovering around the cap at the moment. Wasn't all that long ago the limit was only around $20 million. It's all relative though, the average salary has also climbed every year since the cap came into effect.

Yeah that was the actual money made, it obviously paid off, especially since he won MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Scoring Champ, and Finals MVP all in the same year.
