Sources told ESPN.com on Wednesday that Evans, frustrated by the state of his negotiations with the Sacramento Kings as a restricted free agent, is determined to leave the organization and plans to sign an offer sheet with the New Orleans Pelicans on the first allowable day.
Although the Pelicans technically are still waiting for Evans to verbally commit to signing the offer sheet, sources close to the situation regard that as "an inevitability" by week's end. Evans then would formally sign the four-year, $44 million offer sheet on July 10, when the league's annual moratorium on signings and trades is lifted. Sacramento would have three days to either match or pass on the offer.
Source.I like Evans, I enjoy watching him play, I just don't think he's a SF though. They tried to make him a better off the ball player last year but I think he's most effective with the ball, his ability to get to the rim is pretty amazing for such a young guy. Where ever he ends up, I hope he does well.
Edit: You'd be batshit crazy to want to resign Ellis after him saying he's akin to Wade.
