cassell is clutch, he is a leader, he did avg like 20/8 on his good seasons.. I'll take him over marbury anyday... Marbury is potentially a much better SG, but as a PG, cassell his his # by leading his teams

Talent wise? Marbury. Team wise, Winning wise, Chemistry wise, Point Guard wise, Attitude wise, and more and more? Cassell.
In other words...I take Cassell as my starting point guard.

i'm not gonna say why i pick Cassell, but instead i'll let you know why i didn't pick Marbury...
no doubt about his talent but his attitude.

Call me simple minded but I thought this was pretty cool:
Notice how Cassell's number of votes is his actual number (19) and Marbury's number of votes is his actual number (3). I thought that was pretty cool.

marbury is better individually, but cassel has better chemestry and better accomplishments, but still marbury is definitley the better individual player, he's also like 6-8 years younger.

let me put it this way cassel makes marbury look like brad frickin pitt. as a gm i would possibly pick cassell, but as a human being i'm way too shallow. if forced to, I would talk to him maybe with sunglasses on to block the radiation of ugly. that said, I miss the old alien twolve days; ervin johnson! sam cassel! kevin garnett! the miiiiiiiiiiinnesota martians!

Cassell is a winner. What seperates Cassell from Marbury is leadership [though that seperates him from a lot of guys in the league], and his clutch abilities.
If you're saying who's more talented, of course Marbury, but till Cassell can't walk on the court anymore, I don't think many would take Marbury overh im.

Sam's made big shots in big games, and he has two rings. Case closed.
I'm so disappointed in Marbury. I wanted him to succeed in NY. It's not all his fault(Isiah & Dolan share most of the blame), but he's shown he'll NEVER be the leader Sam is.

but "good things" happen when he leaves, so maybe something good will happen to the knicks if it happens

Marbs and KVH played well together in the Knicks. Isiah just screwed everything up by trading Keith.
I too would take ET/Gollum over Marbury.

Marbury's last season in NJ had nothing to do with him. KVH was injured. Kittles was injured. The next year they were all healthy and Kenyon continued his progression, and in addition they added Richard Jefferson and one of those Collins.
And people act like the only thing that changed for Phoenix was JKidd for Marbury. Phoenix dismantled their team and traded many key players. And within a year or two a Marbury-led Phoenix team gave San Antonio the biggest challenge they saw in a season when San An won the championship.
Finally, if you blame the New York siuation on anybody but that GM of theirs you don't know what you're talking about.

PHX benefited from trading marbury, but just because it gave them cap, not because ditching marbs.
anyhoo, you're either sacrificing looks or selflessness. Though Marbury's not much of a looker himself. Cassell is who I'd go with. If you don't like him, he's old anyway, he'll be gone soon. Marb has like 4 years left or something on his contract.
