Kobe vs. Shaq easily.
Artest, Jax and JO won't play in the game, and its not in Detroit.

Not really a rematch since Artest, ONeal and Jackson wont even play the game. Imagine if the Pacers scrubs will fight on christmas day

Shaq vs Kobe by far.

It will be very interesting to se if the Pacers throw a beer on Ben Wallace. I wonder if David Stern has the balls to show up for this game..

Even with all the years of the Shaq/Kobe saga, the Pistons/Pacers incident makes this established rivalry much more heated. But with Jermaine O'Neal, Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson sidelined it's not much of a grudge match. In contrast, it will be the first time Shaq and Kobe meet as opponents and the first argument will be made for each side of the Shaq vs Kobe debate. I'd have to say that Heat/Lakers will be more interesting than Pistons/Pacers for me too.

Shaq v Kobe has been hyped up since before the schedule was made. There isnt any rivalry as such.. just a hate which exists between the two players. I dont think its a rivalry cause the guys dont even matchup against eachother and all they're doing is having a war of words... a rivalry does exist for Pistons/Pacers cause they're actually competing for somethnig.. u know wat i mean?

Pistons and Pacers will be fresh in the minds of fans and ppl around the league. It has great potential for their 'rivalry' to be exploited in the media. Which makes money for the NBA.

But in the end, Shaq and Kobe will be bigger... they will only meet twice this season... Pistons and pacers meet for a minimum 8 games!

Eddie Jones and Kobe are actually good friends. EJ has been quoted saying that alot when he was traded to the hornets...

EJ left to Charlotte because of Shaq.. or was it both of them?

Before Shaq arrived in Miami EJ was hoping that theyd be able to settle their differences and did admit to not liking Shaq before.. it seems that theyre not clashing...

I thought he left coz of both but mainly kobe. I know ej didn't like shaqs attitude in laker days but they have working it out and it showed the otherday when before the game shaq used a different approach to inform ej "he needed him to step up today".

Eddie Jones never requested to be traded. The Lakers realised that with Kobe on the court, Eddie wasn't playing well and they traded him for Glen Rice, who could spread the defense becuase of his shooting. Kobe and EJ have always been good friends from what I've heard from both players.

Lakers vs Heat

Although it will be very interesting to see how the Pacers fans react on that day. Another brawl anyone?

Nick Van Exel was traded for Tony Battie just before the lockout to denver, then Battie was traded for Travis Knight..
